Thanks for setting the majority opinion, dangerous as it seems.
Just think of the death statistics in your blasted ingnorant nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because of auto industry regulation and educational standards the rate of deaths per 1 000 accidents in Toussillon is 2.3/1000. For arguments sake.

What would you leaders say about having standard international road safety rules?

They would laugh so hard they would dribble their midday borsch onto their nice new $500 pants.

Implementing this would create unnecessary confusion among our citizens. It is much simpler (for us), and more rational to expect foreigners to learn our laws before visiting the country.

There is abundant, public transit paid for and maintained by taxes. There are no restrictions on who may use it, with the exception of former convicted criminals. Therefore, it is illegal for a private citizen to own or operate any kind of vehicle, for anything other than trade, without express, temporary, written emergency permits from the local government.

This is not to inhibit travel, but rather to make it far more efficient. Since all transit is monitored by local agencies, in conjunction with inter-tribal agencies, traffic is nearly non-existent and vehicle related deaths are incredibly rare. Furthermore, in the event of serious emergencies, relief vehicles can safely and quickly navigate to their destinations, increasing public safety.

Don't your transportation bots talk to one another?

That would simply be too complicated to fulfill the needs of the Imerian over usage of horses and carriages in tragic that is quite uncommon elsewhere. That in combination with the different rules that each and every nations subjects have become accustom to would mean dramatically changes (as is unavoidable in at least some nations) would cause more damages that it would prevent.

The Prime Minister would politely voice his opinion of being against the proposition. The King would tell you where to shove your international road rules.

Road Rules in United South-Africa

Postby United South-Africa » Tue May 18, 2010 8:11 am

We would only accept international road rules if they entailed driving on the left and were identical to our current road-rules in all other ways. The State President would politely refuse in all other cases.
