Atlas Elections Thread [OOC, Atlas Only]

Information about the Atlas Executive Council from the Constitution1. Campaigning for a position may began anytime within a month- speeches and candidacies will be accepted by the last week. Elections for the Executive Council will occur on the 3rd last day of each month in the Atlas Elections Thread and last until the 1st of the next month. If for any position there is a tie, voting will be extended until the tie is broken.
2. There are no term limits. Nations are not allowed to elect themselves, and any vote manipulation/puppet voting will result in the elimination of a nation as a candidate for elections.
3. The Founder is a permanent position. It is held by the Republic of Bratislav. The duties of the founder are mostly ceremonial in nature though the founder helps with administrative and organizational duties of the Atlas Region and maintains regional security. They carry out executive duties in conjunction with the executive president. The founder has the final say in all matters bar a 2/3rds majority veto vote.
4. The Executive President is the most powerful elected position in Atlas. They have final say in the admittance and expulsion of incoming and current Atlas members and carry out administrative duties in conjunction with the founder. The EP is the World Assembly delegate for Atlas and upon their election to Executive President, every Atlas member should endorse that nation for WAD.
5. The Minister of Defense is an elected position. The chief duty of this Minister is to ensure security within Atlas and aid the Executive President and Founder in any disciplinary actions regarding Atlas Members.
6. The Minister of Recruitment is an elected position. The Minister is to recruit other prospective and eligible members into Atlas and facilitate creation of embassies with other regions. Unless complaints are raised or in special cases, the MoR is responsible for accepting new members.
7. The Minister of Information is an elected position. The MoI is responsible for world-building and the canon of Atlas, realism and RP moderation and the editing of Atlas related articles on IIWiki. The Minister is to work with the Cartographer on the allocation of map plots, and has along with the Executive President, final say on the acceptance of one’s plot.
8. The Cartographer is a semi-permanent elected position- that is, bar Founder/EP sanctioned majority votes of no-confidence and resignation, the position is permanent once elected. The Cartographer is responsible for the creation of the regional map, and is to work in conjunction with the Minister of Information in the appropriate allocation plots in regards to size, placement, geography and ethnicity.
