Terrain: North and central littoral zones are urbanised, northwest interior is covered by lush rainforests, northeast interior is plain and most covered with agricultural lands, southwest interior is covered with small mountains and forests, southeast interior is mostly urbanised and most covered with lakes, southeast littoral is humid and full of beaches, and centre interior is mountainous and full of mines.
Climate: South is tropical wet, north is humid subtropical, centre is tropical wet and dry.
Elevation extremes: Highest point — Mt Botluan (2064.54m); Lowest point — Dragonias Strait (-8.67m).
Natural resources: Timber, iron ore, copper, aluminium, coal, natural gas, gold, manganese, zinc, bauxite, tin, lead, uranium, hydropower.
Land use: 35% Agriculture, 40% Urban; 5% Military; 20% Mining and Resources; 10% Protected.
