Ysoldia is located to the far east southern regions of Siberia bordering the Pacific Ocean. Divided into 3 major territories, Ysoldia is the largest country in the world to be bordering only two other nations China to the south and Russia to the northwest.
For the most part Ysoldia's 2 Territories bordering Russia are the flattest and richest and offer the most suitable farming space for both livestock and crop rotation which has lead to the comical true fact about there being 4 cows to every one Ysoldian Citizen.
Ysoldia's only other province bordering China is the most elaborate and has the most rocky and mountainous landscapes, these mountains called the Chow Divide or the Great south Divide run almost the whole length of the the region spanning over 500 miles of terrain, the highest mountain is Mt. Chekov measuring at 1525m.

We were once on a fucking island surrounded by people who wanted to kill us all-time. Now we're spread across an archipelago still surrounded by people who wants to kill us all-time, just that this time it isn't the Malays.

Alahana is located on the continent of Tarus on the planet of Eurion.
It has natural borders from the Reef sea in the south and east, the diamond sea and Channel of Alahana in the west and the Iron mountains in the north.

It's primary geographic challenge is it's location. You have the Imperial aligned nations in the west, and the Tarusian union members in the east with Alahana in the center. The tensions that are always present between imperial and union nations regularly erupts in open conflict, with the latest being the Third Dindar conflict a little more than a year ago. This has lead to the heavy militarization of the western member states of the United republic.

The second geographic challenge is it's lack of land available for agriculture. Most of the lands are either urbanized of protected nature area. The agriculture in Alahana itself is not enough to sustain the food consumption of the 105 million people living in Alahana. So Alahana has to use it's colonies for food production, but because they are also increasing in population they are not increasing in food export. So when the colonies won't be enough to sustain the rising population of Alahana and it's colonies we will be forces to import more food from our trade partners.

The last geographic location is caused by the colonization efforts of Alahana. There are many colonies that are also separate member states that belong to the United Republic of Alahana. But the problem is that they are scattered making logistics quite a problem.

Taken from my nation's geography factbook
Topography:

Most of Kalmarium consists of hills and plains combinations known as Gorons that predominantly exist along the mid belt of the country, from the mountainous borders with Velkiorostovya and Stahlwehr in the east all the way to West Velka. In the north much of these Gorons are heavily forested though in the south Gorons it is much more open grassland and steppe. Much of the northern coast is tundra and in some places even fully Arctic in conditions (i.e. Bastion Peninsula), while Kalmarium's southern-most borders are arid deserts (such as the Gobi Desert in East Velka/Suetsavaria or the Bashqr Desert which extends into Kalmaar territory from the borders of Ostem and Hinowia. Mountain ranges are found scattered throughout Kalmarium but are most common in West Velka as well as Centre District, Old Kalmaar and around the Great Lakes. The longest mountain range is Ser Gallan's Range (containing Mt.Aberghast 5,941 m) which stretches from Lake Dyrus in southcenter Kalmarium all the way to the Valverian Ocean in the west. Belukha Mountain (8,601 m) is another massive mountain within Kalmarium along the border of Velkiorostovya and Xexis on the Kovel Walls range and is also the second highest point in the world. The Iron Wall, rich in ores, natural gas and uranium is located within Old Kalmaar and is considered the heartland of Kalmarium.

Kalmarium has an extensive coastline of over 38,000 km along the Arctic and Valverian Oceans, as well as along the Midwelk Sea and Casterion Sea. The Sea of Kalgrad, Bear Sea, Bay of Ukilnor and Trap Gulf are all connected to Kalmarium via the Valverian and Arctic Oceans. Kalmarium has many major islands and island chains including the Kuril Islands, King's Island, Northhammer Islands, West Fell Chain and Haberghast Land. The island of Sovelgrad is an uninhabited island contested island between Velkiorostovya and Kalmarium within the Bear Sea.

Kalmarium has many thousands of rivers flowing through it along with numerous other inland bodies of water. This provides the Union with one of the world's largest fresh water resources, almost one-fifth of the world's fresh water comes from Kalmarium. The largest single body of surface fresh water is the Casterion Sea within the Great Lakes, though there are other major bodies such as the Lessor Lakes and Lake Trivekta in between West Velka and The Fatherland. Kalmarium is second to Aerugo in terms of the volume of renewable fresh water resources. Of the over 92,000 rivers the Eisen is the most famous; not only for being the longest river in Midlands and 3rd on Occalis, but also for it's vast historical importance to Kalmarium. The Northrend rivers of Alex, Beluga, and Beruka are some of the longest in the world and have some of Kalmarium's largest cities along them.

Kalmarium's primary geographic challenge is in it's northern location in the world. Much of the northern coastline and land inwards is harsh tundra and in some places even arctic. During the winter months many northern ports become inaccessible due to ice buildup. South-West Kalmarium is covered in large inhospitable deserts and canyons. In southern West Velka hurricanes are a common problem while in the east in Old Kalmaar earthquakes are quite common due to the massive fault line that seperates Northrend from Velkiorostovya.

Kalmarium's sheer size is another issue as throughout it's history it has been subject to countless invasions and has often been forced to spend years simply marching troops across the country prior to the introduction of railway systems.

Postby Rhodevus » Fri Aug 07, 2015 4:56 pm

Rhodevus is a large island nation with many different and varying landscapes. The varying landscapes include the mountainous arctic tundra in the North, flat plains in the West and Central regions and the hilly and highly forested areas of the South. Rhodevus is comprised of 4 main islands; 'Sentoshi' (The largest island), 'Bwaha' (2nd largest island) and the Mentoshi and Bentoshi island chains (each comprised of two islands, Menstoshi to the East and Bentoshi to the South). Rhodevus does possess a single active volcano, making its home in the larger island of the Bentoshi island chain. The country also possesses hundreds of smaller islands, almost all of them being uninhabited by humans.
As an island nation, it shares maritime borders with Aznazia in the South and Arvas in the North, while to its East lies to Sunarctic Ocean and West the Rhodeo-Azno Straights. This central location to the Southern powers of Sunalaya and direct ocean routes to the Western and Eastern Nations of Sunalaya proved Rhodevus a very valuable area to control; this being the case in its discovery and colonization in the 1400s, by the nations Capsland and De Fleuves. While these two nations always possessed a shaky relationship, their proved another factor which lead to years of instability in Rhodevus. The entire main island of Sentoshi was inhabited by various clans of natives; referred to as Rhodevan Natives. Broken up into tribes, there are 13 main tribes in mainland Rhodevus and 1 main tribe on the island of Bwaha. Each tribe proved difficult to communicate and interact with, as each had their own variation of a common language and held great feuds with each of the other main tribes.
Colonization of Rhodevus by the two countries also would lead to a major challenge, being that each country had their own language; either French or English. While the English Capslandians colonized the agricultural South, allying themselves with various Southern Tribes, the French De Fleuvians colonized the resource rich North, allying themselves with the Northern tribes. For the next hundred or so years, the area which would make up Rhodevus was embroiled in the Colonial-Rhodevan Wars, between the colonists of each settlement and various tribes .
With the formation of the country in the 1700s, Rhodevus has handled many major challenges. The Primary Challenge has been the balance between the 3 peoples in Rhodevus, the English, French and Rhodevan Natives. A major geographical challenge is building a country with similar characteristics throughout, while also handling the large varieties of landscapes in and around Rhodevus. The final major challenge is due to the centrality of Rhodevus, it always must be on guard for foreign aggression by ways of conquest as well as diplomacy.

KwaDai's climate is mostly arid and desertlike in nature. However, the northern coastal regions along the KwaDaian Sea are lush fertile agricultural plains characterised by flat green land covered by forests of date palms aswell as citrus, rice and olive plantations eventually fading away into dry hills then becoming desert and resuming general flatness. The green agricultural land is fed by irrigation from water taken from the man made Al Hazm Lake near Yafran that was created in 2010 by surfacing the underground water in the area and by pumping in desalinated sea water. Most of the country is either flat desert or enormous expanses of seemingly endless sand dunes. The far east of the country is defined by a tall mountain range.

Natural hazards come in the form of hot, dry, dust-laden winds known in KwaDai as the sharq winds. This is a southeastern wind blowing usually from five to six days in spring and autumn causing occasional dust storms and sandstorms. Toward the middle of autumn after months of continual scorching heat and no rainfall, heavy tropical storms often gather for up to two days causing spot flooding and strong wind. However populated areas are built to prevent any negative effects from flooding.

Oases can also be found scattered throughout KwaDai, the most important of which are at Awbari and Sabha, in the south west.

The KwaDaian Desert, which covers much of KwaDai is one of the most arid places on earth. In places, many years may pass without rain, and even in the desert's smaller mountains rainfall seldom happens. However the Jabal al Akhdar region in the northeast gets heavy monsoon rain frequently in the winter after a year of dryness turning the dry forests of acacia into lush green forests. On 13 September 1955 the town of 'Aziziya, which is located southwest of Tripoli, recorded an air temperature of 57°c, the warmest ever reached in KwaDai. Average summer temperatures in the north range from 42°c to 48°c whereas average winter temperatures in this region are 22°c to 29°c. However further inland the winter has an average etemperature of 25°c to 30°c with summer temperatures regularly soaring beyond 45°c.

Slightly further to the east are the massifs of Al Maqta and Budaiya. These granite mountains are ancient, having formed long before the sandstones surrounding them. There are a few scattered uninhabited small oases, usually linked to the major depressions, where water can be found by digging to a few feet in depth. In the east there is a widely dispersed group of oases in unconnected shallow depressions, notably the Al Munsiyah Depression an inhospitable patch of general flatness is only interrupted by a series of plateaus and massifs near the centre of the KwaDai Desert, primarily the Tazirbo volcanic massif, a series of volcanic rock features standing out of the desert sand.

With the discovery of oil in the 1970's also came the discovery of a massive aquifer underneath much of the country, much of KwaDai's water is sourced from here. As well as from desalination.

KwaDai's exclaved territory of Bandar al Saray to the far northeast is very mountainous and has a more tropical climate thanks to seasonal monsoon rains with its steep sided hills being covered in dense forests of acacia, palm trees and other such trees.
