True enough. That said, in me Da's experience, since he grew up with such things, most faults are within eyebrow-wiggling distance of the maintenance boxes. Mostly because those are really think only bits that can be tampered with 90% of the time.

Would anyone be able to explain a/o illustrate how stripper clip loading is meant to work with magazine fed rifles, like the vs.58 for example.

You lock the bolt carrier rearwards, which will open up the receiver. There will be a slot cut into the ejection port which will extend to the top of the receiver, leaving it wide open. There will be a "guide" for the clip itself to fit into which goes against the rear of this slot, One inserts the clip, pushes the rounds down on top of the magazine guide/remaining rounds, reloads the weapon. The magazine will then be presenting a cartridge to the bolt carrier, which can then drive it home into the chamber.

I was thinking about the exoskeletons in Advanced Warfare and I realized, "Why the hell aren't the joints and stuff all shot to hell? Those things need armoring."

You mean exosuits with padding? That's another good question. I suppose they were trying to avoid looking too much like certain soldiers with exoskeletons and possibly pull said soldiers' fan market away.
