History

The written history of Andertion begins in 5,010 BD. A collection of primitive tribes united at the base of Der Mount Lavii (The Great Mountain) to fend off increasing attacks from wild dire wolves. Recently, archeologists have concluded that a shortage of prey in the Keva Valley led the animals to prey upon humans. Regardless of the reason, the tribes signed a treaty in blood (yes, each tribal leader cut himself and wrote his sign in blood) and they called this new combined tribe 'Camrox' and one of these tribes was called Andertion. Fast forward a few hundred years all has been quite. A tribal council has issued laws and dispensed justice without major issues and no civil wars or revolts. The government they formed was an alliance of tribes with each tribe being self governed but under the overall control of the Camrox Tribe, the new tribe was created to enforce the decisions by the Council but over time became a tribe of wealthy merchants and politicians. The nation eventually moved to a very centralized government and was very stable and productive. In 4,646 BD Andertion's border was suddenly attacked. A nomadic warrior race, called the Letto, had wandered through the massive Eternal Desert to the western border leading to a series of wars that would eventually be called The Dune Wars. The invaders pushed 20 miles into the Forest of Shadows while Andertion natives fought valiantly. Then the invaders stopped. They withdrew 2 miles from the front and began to fortify their acquired territory. While Andertion's people suffered and died, the rest of Camrox began to train an army and ignored the pleas for assistance from Andertion. In 4,667 BD, the Letto attacked again. This time, Camrox sent an army to assist Andertion in repelling the invaders. At first things seemed to be going well, however it couldn't last. The Camroxian general Jex'akra was assassinated and the Camroxian armies fled at the Battle of Hydra Pass. The Camroxian soldiers reformed after the battle and began to march back to Dexon the capital of Camrox. On their way, Andertion forces forced them to stop and important passes through the mountains and forests and ordered them to surrender their weapons and armor to the soldiers of Andertion. Now better equipped and with Andertion's own foundries in the mountains producing the best quality equipment, the soldiers of Andertion repelled the Letto. In 4,661 BD, Camrox sanctioned an Andertion invasion to reclaim territory captured by the Letto. Once the command was received, the Andertion Armies swept through the forest killing every Letto they encountered. In the Eternal Battle (It took place at the edge of the Eternal Desert and took 7 months) the Andertion army routed the last of the Letto civilization and slaughtered them as they ran into the desert. This war led to an animosity forming between Camrox and its territory, Andertion. Over thousands of years, the people of Camrox grew and had very little outside influence. However, there was always that deep hatred for the bureaucrats of Camrox for abandoning them to the vicious barbarians that routinely invaded from the Eternal Desert. Finally, Camrox's attention was drawn to the massive, warrior culture that Andertion and formed and Andertion's well trained and massive army. Camrox felt threatened by this and ordered Andertion to disband its army permanently. Enraged by this and the severe tax burden Camrox had heaped upon their shoulders to pay for grand palaces that the Camroxian delegates lived in, Andertion and a few other territories revolted to form the Empire of Andertion. Andertion and its allies marched into the capital of Camrox, Dexon. When they arrived at the front of the Grand Palace, the commandos sent ahead to secure the Camroxian delegates met them, holding the delegates at gunpoint and Camrox quickly surrendered. This happened in 1BD. Then in year 0, the former territories of Camrox revolted. Chaos reigned as small militia groups swept through the valleys and killed, pillaged, and plundered. Two forces rose from the ashes of this once great civilization. Camrox reborn into a large military force assisted by a foreign nation to the East that wished to rule what was once Camrox. The opposition to this force was Empire of Andertion. With the mining territory of Frist and the industrial territory of Sraka, the Andertion empire produced superior weapons and armor than its enemies and thus Andertion was able to remain its own nation. With control of all but the eastern quarter of what was once Camrox, Andertion prospered.

In recent history, the most important event is the death of Emperor Aksoska Reid the IV by rioters protesting higher taxes and the banning of pink alcoholic drinks. Thousands of rioters eventually overpowered 500 Imperial Guards and killed the Emperor, only after he had killed 100 of these people himself. The territories of the East that had since gain their independence from their former puppet masters led an invasion of Andertion. Those loyal to Andertion fled to the Rakatii Mountains and the territories of Frist and Sraka. Out of 27 former territories of Andertion, only 12 still declare loyalty to Andertion.
