Yannia's national animal is the Green Wyvern:

Yannia's nation page contains an error. The population should be in millions, not in billions.

The national animal of Meridiani Planum is the beaver, because they are industrious. Meridians pride themselves on their work ethic.

The norn as we made it with biotech tinkering back when we still lived on old albia. We also made grendels but considering how they act it's no wonder we chose the cute little norns instead.

The Peregrine Falcon, because of its strength, beauty, traditional symbol of honour, and because it can reach speeds of over 320 km/hr.

Our national page lists it as "Human" but this is technically incorrect. The only non-humans living on Station 12 are livestock and "lab rats", and regular Citizens are not allowed interaction with either. Since the Citizens are all human, the only logical answer to that question would be either "none" or "human".
Welcome to Station 12, citizen. Have a HAPPY day.

The majestic Caribou! Nothing epitomizes Meinverden more than Caribou. Well, maybe the cornflower, since it's actually on the national flag... but anyway...

Legends says a forest spirit had been swept up into the sky while frolicking in the trees. Falling from the sky over ancient barren lands, it searched for safety, trying to escape the inhospitable and dangerous world around it. Exhausted by its search, the spirit collapsed in the snow, prepared to die in the cold wasteland. A wild caribou, separated from its herd, found the young forest spirit and took him in its antlers, carrying him over vast lands for many moons, defending the spirit as they ventured to a better place. The ground turned from white snow to sparse grass and finally to lush fields before the duo came across dense forests. The caribou then left the forest spirit, having taken him to a new home before venturing to find his herd. Here, the spirit found a lone earth spirit and together they started life anew in the land we now call Meinverden.
