Shapeshifting sparkling piles of floating dust that drink blood and fail epically.

Shapeshifting non-sparkling piles of floating dust that drink blood and can literally make a hat out of someone's ass.

Small (true for natives), black (true for natives), poor (well, yes, some people do live in slums and are struggling to get by), speaking strange languages (tuku ), using old tech and reaching the internet with a 14.4kb/s modem (slander, 56k modems exist in Rejistania ), drive tiny cars (true in the cities), use Unix-like OSes (true), are karelan (only some teams are) and corrupt (well... yes)

[Automated Lucidity]

Depressed and suicidal when (rarely) lucid, but otherwise druggies who have no life outside of drugs and cynical comments. We apparently are constantly on about one weird thing or another, making up things to make life better while we live in a completely controlled environment, where we're forced to do things while we suffer and the government and other wealthy people sit around doing nothing but controlling everyone else, happy and high.

Depression may run in the veins of our people and suicide may be the number one cause of death, but we are not all constantly on drugs and we currently have a fairly free, uncontrolled personal life. We may be somewhat cynical, but we have lives outside of drugs and cynicism. The wealthy don't control anyone, they're just wealthy, and the government are not high.

12- More likely to burn a place of worship down than to visit it (True; this is even enshrined by law, as places of worship built outside of certain areas can be vandalized without punishment)

16- Fond of dark humour (True; this is one of the most prevalent features of our national psyche)

17- Soldiers tend towards being cruel, with officers downright sadistic (As any enemy we've fought can attest, very very true)

20- Have so many regional dialects that one cannot possibly identify a Sebastianalandian by accent alone (True)

23- Drive tiny cars (False- there are no cars in Sebastianalandia)

24- Inject propaganda into everything (Of course not... anyone who told you that was a foreign spy engaging in counter-revolutionary activities!)

We strangely have a stereotype on Children of Mama, and is "The Imagination of King Bokassa the First's Daughter, Yolanda," because she often dreams about it, and he often says, "It is not true. It is not a country, it is your imagination."

How odd. She wasn't on Mama's list of abductees, so we don't know where that came from.

It came from the fact she claimed to have met you (Mama), in her dream, but her father dismissed it as a lie.

While each region in the Empire has its own specific stereotype, Volzgrad as a whole does have a few notorious stereotypes:

1) War-mongers and Imperialists: Very true, though it has died down recently due to the lack of conflicts that involve Volzgradian troops

2) Heavy drinkers: True, White Wolf vodka is the best damn alcohol this side of the Petropavlovsk Line!

3) Stubborn: True (noticing a trend?), ethnic Volzgradians are infamous for their absolute denial of ever being wrong.

4) Uneducated Proles: Untrue, while the rural and less developed regions of the Empire are still somewhat backwards; the most populous and significant regions in Volzgrad have excellent educational systems.

5) Xenophobic: Very true, particularly for ethnic groups and religions that are seen outside the 'norm' of Volzgradian culture (most predominantly Muslims).

[The Rich Port]

Uh... wow... most of the stereotypes of your country.... are true. That's... that's... well... well, it's not anything to be proud of, at least. You should see to it your countryfolk are less of drunken mules as they already are.

[Kardana]

The stereotypical Kardanan is weak, skinny, lazy, fanatical and illiterate. The men are violent and easily angered, often beating their wives and children. They are very superstitious and believe their emperor is a living god, and can use divine powers. They are so stupid that they are fearless, and fight to their last drop of blood on their superiors order. However they are weak and bad soldiers that dies in heaps. The women are quiet and weak, constantly being abused by their husband. They are very easy and sleep with anyone they meet. They are also fanatical and raise their children to love and fear the Emperor. All Kardanans are very xenophobic and hates other people, that they regularly murder and torture out of pleasure.

Some of these are true and others not. What is true is the fanaticism. Raised from childhood to be fanatical soldiers of the Emperor, most Kardanans doesn't fear death and will fight to their last drop of blood if ordered so. However, the Kardanan men are neither bad soldiers or overly aggressive (with exceptions of course). Most Kardanan men that marry behaves well towards their wives and children. Kardanan women are as fanatical as the men and do raise their children to become fanatics as well. Kardanans are also xenophobic, they are raised to despise other peoples, however only few kill and torture foreigners for their pleasure.

Mostly the negative stereotype of Kardanans are shaped by the peoples they've invaded and conquered, which explains the huge ammount of negative points.

[Chinqwas]

Chinqwas is a place of little people who lead little lives around little things. They argue about little disagreements, make little money (but spend little), and are often found hiding between their sofa cushions. many a chinqwa has been squished this way. (much the way many a blonde has been killed trying to scracth n' sniff a sticker underwater.

[The Adrian Empire]

The Adrian Empire has a very unique culture and history, very different from most modern nations, as such we garner many stereotypes, both positive and negative some even are perceived as negative but are actually quite flattering to us:
Stereotypes
-Overtly Conservative: To a fault, indeed the average Adrian Citizen is, the major election question is usually will you be voting for the Imperial Social Conservatives or the Imperial Libertarian Conservatives

-Judgmental: We are often called this, Adrian Society is very rigid and traditional so most deviations from the norm are viewed negatively, we have remained more or less in our traditional ways for the last 300 years, we have no desire to change this, that isn't to say we stifle ambition or change, we just view it suspiciously.

-Gun-Toting Lunatics: Guilty, the average Citizen would feel almost naked with out their weapon tucked into it's holster. 91% of Citizens own a firearm, which represents 79% of the total population, 80% (of citizens) are licensed for concealed carry, but Adrians are incredibly polite (which we attribute to our gun-totingness), we would never threaten a person with our weapon unless it was necessary.

-Fascists: This is not true, at least in the pejorative, while Adrian's are very conservative they have too many libertarian streaks to be considered fascist, however we do follow many fascist principles like military service for citizenship (though we offer alternatives), strong nationalism, a strong military and strong societal backbone, but when juxtaposed against are very libertarian views on Capitalism (highly unregulated aside from consumer regulation), Free Speech, Marriage, and Immigration (absolutely free borders)

-Racists: This one is an absolutely disgusting lie made up by mostly foreign biased media to try and tarnish the appearance of the Empire. Making even a slight mention of this stereotype near a Citizen is likely to start him off into a tirade over this, we are not racists and we never have been, unlike many nations there was never a time when only white people could become citizens, , all were equal before the Imperial Citizenship Service, even the Patrician Class* was not exclusionary, in fact the first African-Adrian Patrician Family was raised to Patrician status in 404 AD, they were marble-dealers from Egypt (we maintain a huge historical database for Patricians), the first Indo-Asian-Adrian Family wasn't until 1723 (they were Silk Traders turned Pirate Hunters), The first alien patrician family was the royal family of the Altmerian Kingdom, only a month after first contact. The words of Martin Luther King Jr. best describe our views "para. Judge not the colour of my skin, but the content of my character", however Adria isn't without racism and with our freedom of speech these wretches have the legal right to speak openly about their beliefs, but they are rarely listened to, except by those foreign media sources. Sometimes they are even chased of stage, rarely shot at, and if what they are saying is untruthful, (by that we mean such things as denying the holocaust) they can be sued for libel by offended parties.

-Polite: Very true Adrian's are very polite people, attentive listeners too.

-Well-Dressed: Though subjective as to what one considers well-dressed, even the poorest Adrian's would walk in the light of day without a dress shirt, tie, jacket, and hat. Wearing a t-shirt and jeans in public will probably result in some awkward stares, this is not quite as true for beaches. Imperial Fashion tends to fall in the high-end business dress sectors of foreign stores

-Chivalrous: to an extreme, a rainy day is usually a great day for dry-cleaners as suit jackets will soon be flooding in from water damages (no pun intended ), In fact Adrian Roads are made with extra drainage just for the sake of men's coats. This as often been misconstrued as our society being chauvinistic, which is not true, though we do have patriarchal leanings

-Disciplined: Efficient and punctual, we have a very strong work ethic, that is very much attributed to our disciplined and conservative society, which in turn we attribute to our Imperial Citizen Service, which requires potential citizens to serve several years either as Imperial Guardsmen or doing civil duties like road-building, tree planting, gardening, painting, fire-fighting, and other duties.

-Patriarchal: Another misconception based on foreign misinterpretation, Imperial Society encourages families to have one income earner and one home-maker, for various sociological and economic reasons, many women choose to be homeworkers, and only 32% of the Adrian Workforce is Female which is usually used as evidence of a so called patriarchal society, but they ignore the fact that of those 32% the overwhelming number 78% are in high ranking/income career positions, like Executives, High-Ranking Politicians, Lawyers, Teachers, Diplomats, Doctors, and Engineers. In Adrian Society the highest income earner usually keeps their job when they get married, while the lower income gives up their job. But there is no glass ceiling for women, they routinely reach high level positions in all forms of business and government. Like all other people of Adria, women have been capable of undertaking the Imperial Citizenship Service (the benefits it entails such as the right to vote and to run for government) since it's inception in the sixth century AD. And had the same rights since the founding.

-Overtly Religious: Very true, Adrian's are incredibly devout, with an over 99.6% Religious Adherence Rate, while the religions vary, (though predominately Roman Catholic and Christian at 82%, Judaism and Islam have very large sectors 8 and 4% respectively, as well as Alien Spirituality), Adrian Churches are often filled to the brim at Sunday, or Saturday for are very active Jewish Community

-Repressed: Somewhat true, as a traditional society we don't exactly welcome extravagant behaviour


*Patrician is a special class of nobility, one to four families are selected to join this class every five years based on their contributions to the Empire, many are wealthy businessmen, some brilliant military commanders, others valiant and brave soldiers, some just incredible individuals.
