Receive a Regulated Substance Card (for purchase of alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, etc): 16
How ever, they need to go through a regulation process.
They may consume earlier at parental whim, but not purchase.

There is no minimum age. You would make children drink WATER? That is the kind of sick thing that foreigners would do.

Everyone regardless of age are allowed to buy and drink alcohol and there are no present restrictions although the government is currently considering putting some restrictions after the alcohol related death rate has drastically risen.

16 is the minimum legal drinking age in all states and regions, both in public and private spaces.
Although you can drink at any age as long you have your legal guardian near you... the police won't arrest you over this, worst case scenario they confiscate your drink (sometimes they drink it themselves).

"Minimum...age...for alcohol consumption?" repeats Senator Sphelolalius Bomph, Deputy Chief of the Domestic Sectrariat, furrowing his brow in deep perplexity. "But...how would that possibly work? How can you raise a happy, healthy child without a glass of orange juice and Fruhstukswien in the morning? And, how on earth would anybody be able to pass their Upper Fourth wine tasting exams if they're not allowed to drink in class?"

Foreign Affairs Minister Professor Clothilde Florivore leans across the table in the bar of the Grand Occidental Hotel (where meetings of the Most Serene Cabinet Council routinely take place) and whispers something in a tone of pity, tinged with disbelief.

"They...they don't...oh my!" Senator Bomph covers his face with his hand and briefly contemplates the horror of what he's just heard. "Wow. Just - wow. Foreigners, eh? What will they come up with next?"

15 because we need to teach responsibility while still being under the protection and guidance of parents and role models. Once someone becomes an adult they get a sense they know everything and that leads to dangerous experimentation and behavior with alcohol. Alcohol can only be purchased in bars and government run dispensaries or in small amounts of low alcohol at grocery stores. Public intoxication above 0.6 bac is illegal but open carry in public and public drinking are legal.

The legal age for drinking alcohol is 19.

We're not quite sure why it's 19 and not 18, but that's the way it is.

Drinking age is set by local legislation in Lemmingtopias. In the Capital City of Lomapolis it is 16 to buy yourself, but no lower age limit to have it bought for you by a responsible adult. However, the minimum age to enter a night-club is 21 and persons must be at least 18 to enter a pub alone.

16 to buy/drink beer
18 to buy/drink liquors, cocktails and other alchoholic beverages
18 to enter in night clubs and pubs

Beer is the most popular alchoholic beverage and has less alchohol than liquors so the drinking age has been set to 16.

The legal age to buy any alcoholic beverages is 18, but there is no set restriction on drinking (in a private setting); alcohol is not sold at all in Ramazan.

In Snurdly the People's Commissariat for Alcoholism has not set a drinking age, but there is no drunkenness in Snurdly because nobody can afford enough alcohol to get drunk.

We have yet to legislate for this and generally find that very young people don't like alcohol anyway.
