The Delayed Roller Locking System utilizes blowback from a cartridge to cycle the system. So there's no gas tube or piston needed. It's the very same system the HK-91 operates. When was the last time you heard about a legitimate HK-91 breaking down after being fed thousands and thousands of round?

Then it doesn't have a gas operating system. Roller locked is all fine and good, but I've never heard that it's any better or worse than a proper gas operated weapon.[/quote]

Roller-delayed is a more dirty system of operation, but it gets the job done and there's less having to deal with stuck cartridges thanks to the chamber fluting present with all roller-delayed platforms.

The chamber is fluted because the case would stick and tear if it wasn't. The fluting is what allows the rifle to work at all, not something that makes it better than any other system. And, as you point out, there will be residue build up from the gasses entering the flutes.

Sewing and patching is a valuable skill! I still think making them assemble the uniform would be an awful idea, but some basic sewing skills would definitely be nice to include in training. In an all-out war situation, where your fatigues are torn in half and all you have is a needle and some dental floss, sewing can save your life.

My nation does not reflect my RL beliefs. If it offends you, then you can firmly shove it up your ass respect difference and continue on with your day.
Libertarianism, Individualism, Free Religion, Freedom of Speech, Life-Liberty-and-the-Pursuit-of-Happiness, Right to Bear Arms, Public Liberty (I'm the Anti-Party party), and Anti-Plutocracy(POWER TO THE PEOPLE).
If you believe this is a human right we're seriously going to hunt you monsters down. We see people putting this "right" into their constitutions more and more everyday and it is absolutely appalling. There is nothing more depressing than a bear without arms, you sick fucks.

I think he is a PT nation, it wouldn't be that weird to just require your men to dress somewhat alike in the absence of mass produced uniforms.

Is you nation poorer than sealand?
Is your nation a small secluded state?
Is your nation extremely communist to the point of collaspe?
Does you nation have LITERALLY no infastructure?
Are you asking from a historical pre-16th centuary AD perspective?
ARE YOU SEALAND?

If you answered yes to TWO or more of these questions then go ahead. Otherwise just go order some house wives, call China, or buy surplus.

Well, I have a PT and an MT canon. PT (which is the basis of this question, sorry for not stating so) is 800 BCE. MT is now.

And on the contrary, my nation is one of the wealthiest during the period. So wealthy that we don't pay our soldiers; they pay for their own weapons, food, camping equipment, and transport.

p sure your soldiers would have bigger things to worry about, i.e not dying from the plague, rather than trying to sew their uniform together from scratch.

Also, why the fuck do you have a uniform in 800BCE? it should just be whatever armor you issue, or a ceremonial variation.

Cuz. Korva the Great assembled one for me.

Surely sewing this together doesn't involve more than a few dozens of yards of fabric and a measly 10 hours of needlework?
