In terms of caliber I'd probably name the 3x47mm FA Exp. I understand, however, that it had a tendency to disintegrate in the barrel. The smallest practical cartridge I can think of would have to be either the 4,5mm MKR or the 4mm CETME.

Pretty much as SoH said. You've already got a smartphone type deal. It really wouldn't be any more to make use of the inbuilt GPS. Too, it may help to have multiple morons with maps, instead of the one.
