Nirvashi saints aren't regular saints. They're more akin to Heroes of the Soviet Union. I just call them saints to piss off someone in my region. The reference was Yellowbeard.

The plainest reference was on the imfdb page which seems to have its source in a copy of Jane's. It does also seem that there was a mass dump of 24 and 26s in the 60s when the vz.58 finally came on stream in large numbers. These would pretty much have to go to client states as most of the close neighbours already had thier own SMGs or were busy going all AK.

Why use level/formation designations that are out of whack with common usage? Do you really hate the terms platoon brigade and regiment?
As to the the squad the TL and assistant TL should both have the same rifles as everyone else.
It won't be a sniper but a marksman or sharp shooter, designated marksman to use the current fashionable phrase.
Guys with rocket launchers are unlikely to be packing bit ATGMs like javelin (again those are likely to be found as part of a weapons platoon/company) but certainly a LAWalike, SMAW, a small atgm like mbt law or eryx or RPG would be suitable.
Your rifles just sound like common or garden assault rifles. No real need to go into much detail on them here.
A medic is an iffy thing. Personally I don't see a medic being needed at the squad level and would just give one of the riflemen and the NCOs a little bit more training to use the first aid pack each guy carrys. A full blown medic would be more suitable as part of the platoon HQ.
On the platoon HQ the junior officer doesn't need a whole squad to worry about and the HQ should be focused on allowing him to command and support the platoon as a whole so all it needs is the platoon leader, senior nco, a signaller or two, maybe a medic and possibly a 2 man team with a light mortar or more capable atgm like javelin.
This was pretty much a copy/paste from a WWII AU wargame I was doing, so there is quite some room for improvement, as you point out.
However, from this point forward I have decided that since I know next to nothing about modern warfare and a lot about WWII and the early Cold War tech, I'm just going to do PT with a post-WWII focus. This thereby negates some of the points you make, but still a few can be addressed.
For example, the naming. That's just because I wanted to be a little unique so it wasn't a complete copy/paste of the US WWII formations.
I do agree with the last point while changing it to the PT type stuff (so maybe a light towed AT gun or two instead of a Javelin).
