SA80 safety is a crossbolt in front of the trigger guard. The fire selector is on the left hand side of the butt.

L85's safety is the little button above the trigger. Easily accessible by the trigger finger or another, but still in the "workspace". Fire selector is to the rear but like the FAMAS it's primary purpose is to select between pew and pew-pew-pew, rather then act as a safety.

On the QBZ-95 it's fire selector and safety.

The 95-1 has a repositioned selector, I believe.

If you want to ignore the topic at hand I suppose, sure, the total number of people killed in the several-hundred-years and varied definition of "Renaissance era" was worse as a result of disease, famine and warfare, but if you want to inclide all those then the true deadliest period was the flu pandemic of 1918, which most modern estimations put the death toll at between 50 and 100 million individuals over the period of about 23 months, which would be about 2.2-5 million people on a monthly basis, or a total of 3-5% of the global population. Thereby making it the single most consistently lethal period in human history.

Warfare wise its still WWII.


Also the QBZ is terrible. Ergonomically nauseating and of horrible build quality. Granted I shot mine years ago but they don't appear to have changed particularly much since that time.

I didn't even know such a sword existed in Northern Europe at the time, but it very clearly evolved from the Falcata (straight falcatas in particular), so of course I'd like it. I bet the Romans didn't like it one bit though if it was a common type of sword.

The thing is while the US bans the importation of Chinese weaponry and ammunition, Canada hasn't.

So whenever the 95-1 becomes available, then both Chinese produced and locally produced 5.8 ammo will become available.

You won't really have the weight or the leverage to punch though armour with it.
