Nudity is allowed

Postby Glaxgorn » Wed Jan 20, 2010 5:00 am

Nudity is perfectly allowed, wether at home, beaches, forests, it's the persons' body choice, if they want to, it's fine.

Nudity is illegal everwhere in Hemenster except in houses and on beaches. Even then, few people opt to go naked on beaches because everyone is just far too embarrassed to, and it is generally looked down upon anyway.

Nudity is entirely legal and accepted. However, due to climate concerns, more often than not, Ramset will be clothed, especially to avoid sunburn and skin cancer.

It is legal but it is looked down upon. Also, the climate is not suited for nudism.

Nudity in public is not tolerated. Our authorities won't hesitate to efficiently incapacitate any streakers they see. If someone wishes to be nude they can do it within their own home. Besides, we don't want people getting colds.

One of the more creative uses of our "reality plus" sensory augmentation system is the personal SEP ("Somebody Else's Problem") field. It is a signal broadcast by our angels that says basically, "ignore me--I'm somebody else's problem, not yours". A Child with their SEP field on looks like an anonymous grey blur--you know something's there, but it's not your problem, so you don't worry about it.

Because we can "censor" ourselves like this, the Children have a kind of relaxed attitude about nudity and personal privacy. We have public, communal showers, our restroom facilities are designed mainly for hygiene instead of privacy, and so on. Of course, not using your SEP field when you should be is considered quite rude, as is overriding it by having your angel ignore the other angel's "ignore me" signal. We do have a sense of modesty, after all.

Small Children aren't permitted to use the SEP field (for their own safety), so clothing requirements are more strict for them than for older ones. Also, since most xenos we've encountered seem to have a nudity taboo and don't have angels (thus we can't use the SEP field to censor ourselves around them), Children always wear clothing when meeting with xenos.

Public nudity is allowed in designated beaches and parks across the DRNW. Nudity is not such a big issue here.

This, essentially.

Clothing is optional, but usually worn to ward off sunburn during the day.

It's not illegal in the Empire, but you face social suicide for wearing a t-shirt in the Empire, so it stands to reason that nudity is a social faux-pas, you can also be ticketed for public indecency, but it's not a particularly high fine

There is no law restricting public nudity. In the summer it is very common due to the warm climate in the southern regions. Less so in the winter.

In the North, due to the far colder climate, it is pretty much unheard of in the winter on the basis of common sense, though it is not unheard of on particularly warm days in the summer.
So goddamned leet: Rumbria is ranked 6th in the region and 1,337th in the world for Most Godforsaken.

That's sexist! And i hate sexdism! Anyway, what are trying to do by not letting nwomen wear cloaths? Trying to get a girl friend? Good luck, they'll all just get angry. espessially in winter when men can rug up and be warm while the women are freezing to death in their nudities and revel everything!

Anyway, in my counntry men and women both have the option of public nudity and both having the option of wearing cloaths in public

Nudity is thought to be only for private (and by private, we mean in the homes where the all-pervasive monitors are installed everywhere). In fact, certain classes and sects are permitted to wear only one group of clothing. For instance, politicians, clerks and bureaucrats (in the 'Infocaste' group) are only allowed to wear a mixture of whites, greys and blacks. High Party members are allowed to wear what they will, but tradition indicates a mixture of dark crimson and black. The Techcaste group consists of mechanics, engineers, architects and manual labourers, they wear oranges, blues and yellows. The Warcaste consists of soldiers, tacticians, medics and other military-based professions, they wear greens, browns, khaki and reds. There is also the Thinkcaste group, which contains scientists, teachers, philosophers and other intellectuals. They wear white, silver and tan.

One obscure, newly made group is the 'Uncaste' group, who wear purples. They consist of convicts, enemy ex-pats, mutants and the aptly named 'Furries' that had been discovered and almost entirely exterminated from the Omniperium. These persons are considered non-entities, or unpersons, by the Party and are severely oppressed.

Vystercia is clothing optional. Still, in practice, it is common to wear clothes during the autumn and winter. They just often don't wear more than they need to practically. Our people are often naked indoors, even in public locations, though when on duty or at work they will wear clothes so as not to distract anyone.

Nasucrea, however, tends to be more repressed by habit, rather than by morals or laws. Nasucrean men and women don't fully trust each other, so the comfort level hasn't allowed them to lower their guard as well, plus the recent violence makes Nasucreans often go around wearing protective clothing, body armor, etc....and carry weapons. Plus, the eunuchs don't like to expose their mutated genitals, especially since most Nasucreans can recognize them anyway.

Because New Sociopians have never suffered sexualisation of the human body through the media combined with condemnation of sexuality and sexual practices by religious or conservative organisations, they are free of the social complexes which lead to issues around nudity. People are free to wear as much or as little as they like, and many exercise this right whenever the weather's warm enough.

We are a liberal nation. Women is the exact equal of men. So it's common to see women without their tops on. Since a lot of women do this, men do not look at the women's breast in the street. Men also walk on the street without their t-shirts on. There's no rule again nudity, but it's generally too cold to have no clothes on.
