Not that Peshmerga are competent enough to use tanks anyway.

I'm going to stop responding to you now since you apparently have difficulty framing criticism in a civil or helpful manner.

I think they call this "projecting".

Regardless, restarting production of an old tank would require reverse engineering at worst and rebuilding an entire production line at best, which is far more expensive than simply buying some small arms and shipping them in huge quantities. A new tank would require engineering outright, and fitting anachronistic equipment would not happen, especially if it's an allegedly "budget" tank (budget tanks really don't exist) made specifically for the desert or whatever. It's much cheaper to take something like Leopard 2 and give it a desertization kit than making a specific "cheap" tank, because engineering is extremely expensive and starting a production line for a single tank isn't worth it unless the Kurdish Autonomous Region or whatever can afford to buy like 800 tanks.

As I said, the Peshmerga is hardly competent enough to use a tank, or any mechanization, and that is why NATO IRL has been sending them ATGW and machine guns instead of Leopard 2s and Marder 1s, which is what would actually be sent rather than a weird Leopard.

But that's getting away from the part that a white/infrared searchlight is about as anachronistic as using a periscope for fire control rather than a digital FCS with laser rangefinder. It's not even that useful when passive FLIRs exist which have far superior acquisition range to a big light and can't be seen at all, which is why it really died. Keeping it around to "spot targets" for infantry at nighttime is not only a silly idea, it's a dumb one: there are many and better ways to do this that include using flares and using tracers, which are the time honoured tradition of night fighting, and of course you can simply give them the hundreds of thousands of old NODS that exist. Both of these options are far better than the almost piss take that is a big 1950s spotlight on an allegedly modern tank.

You can choose to ignore good advice and continue to make snide/cute remarks to anyone who doesn't respond the way you imagined they would I guess, though, but the very fact that I'm criticizing your choice of whatever artwork rather than not saying anything should be proof enough to you that I'm only trying to be helpful.

Thought the glorious and free (terms and conditions may apply) Osthmoor needed some space Hinds/drosphips, so after 2 days of sketching from nothing, I finally came up with a satisfactory design.

Also here's a "whoa drama" scene from 3399/3400, where a bunch of not!secret-service agents are wheeling out a dead criminal that we bring to Elektrograd's automatons who resurrect the dead criminal scum by filling and replacing his body with nano-bots and machinery, so we can extract the information from him, because apparently top drug dealers have taken some kind of oath to be allergic to truth serums and just die if injected with any kind of drug according to the member playing the faction, but we won't let that stop us.

That's actually a really interesting plot idea for an interrogation scene. Killing someone and then reviving them immediately after, over and over again as a form of torture to extract needed information out, and then just letting them die. I'm not for torture in any way, but from a plot view, I like it.

Are you mentally deficient? hunching for an entire approach to combat is as inefficient as it is tiring. Try walking, bent over holding a full shield like that, and you'll realize it's tiring. That's why roman formation marched standing up, not in tortuga until situation necessitated it. And even if it did require all-around armour, the would walk full-height until the first of their ranks fell, because that allowed them to cover the most ground without tiring any of their men.

Seriously, soldiers becoming exhausted and tired is an actual, important thing.

Yes I am very retarded. Thank you for noticing.

You must be very out of shape if you think walking a hundred or two hundred yards a bit hunched over will tire you out. There is no speed difference when standing up straight or hunched over in a testudo. Think about it, which would you rather do as the front row of a testudo, hunch slightly so you can cover more of you body with your shield with no negative effects, or stand up straight with either your legs or face completely exposed for no good reason?

Not even sarcasm. My point about leg chopping was though, even though the Romans were stupid to not utilize such an effective tactic.

i mean

besides the fact that just hunching down in such a closed formation would be stupid and impractical in general, especially if only the first rank does it, why would they even be moving in testudo in the middle of a field battle where infantry is swiping at their legs? I mean, beside Carrhae (which was predominantly horse archers and some cataphracts fucking up what basically amounted to an infantry-only force), I don't personally know of any documents that talk about the Romans using the testudo in a field battle. I mean, it'd be pretty fucking stupid, right? Imagine if the Romans in Teutoberg went into Testudo when angry German berserkers and traitorous auxiliary cavalry attacked - you can't really go on the offensive at all in the formation, so it just doesn't make sense in those situations.

BUT - you know where the testudo makes perfect sense (and also where you're not under the risk of getting your legs hacked away)? When you're marching toward the walls of a settlement that you're besieging. I mean, it makes perfect sense, and also explains away why they're not crouching in their heavy as fuck gear the whole time they're in such a formation - if archers are shooting down at you, you don't want to get shot in the face with an arrow. Your feet are safe as hell in the testudo anyways when you're marching on a wall. It makes perfect sense to be doing it there; you're under no threat of any immediate melee outside the defenders' walls, but you are under threat of getting hit with javelins or arrows or rocks or whatever the defenders are throwing at you from the walls.

I notice the templates and tidbits in the OP are gone. Where could I find them?
