I was not satisfied with the existing Legacy Hornets that I could find in JG scale, so I had to do my own.

I only operate two squadrons of Hornets, one Navy and the other Marine. The Navy has a deep and unshakable love for colorful paint jobs. By comparison to the F-41 squadrons, this is subtle.



Now the Miklanian Marines have actually heard the word "camouflage" before, and so their aircraft are painted in subdued air superiority grey schemes. When making this one I tried to replicate the old distressed paint found on real Hornets. I think it turned out pretty well.

So the Leopard Q is now the Leopard I*, deployed alongside Force Q. Similar purpose though.

Leopard Is retrofitted to the Leopard I* standard were issued to local militias and militaries fighting alongside NATO Force Q in the Middle East in 2019, to replace dwindling supplies of Cold War Soviet armour.
This particular example was deployed to Qatar in November 2019, transferred to a Peshmerga unit, then almost immediately mobilized to northern Egypt for coastal defence during the Christmas 2019 offensive (note the Third Battle of El Alamein combat marking). It was then moved east, and participated in the counterattack along the northern border of Saudi Arabia in early 2020. The vehicle remained with the spearhead force during the push north along the Syria-Iraq border, was rotated to the rear for R&R during the assault on Aleppo, and is shown here as it appeared on the night of 18 June 2021, before entering Mosul as part of the screening force for the main NATO battlegroup.
