Also, in case the text is too small to read:

The KA-24 "Billhook" is an advanced all weather attack helicopter used by the Paraganian Federation, the Federal Republic of Pelerna, and the Republic of Habana. It utilizes the NOTAR (No-Tail-Rotar) system that uses a fan inside the tailboom to build a high volume of low-pressure air, which exits through two slots and creates a boundary layer flow of air along the tailboom utilizing the Coanda effect. The system offers quieter and safer operation, as well as better survivability. The Billhook can be armed with a variety of rockets and munitions, making it useable for multiple operations and circumstances. It has an SDB-37A2 Single-Barreled 30mm Automatic Cannon, which has select fire and has a dual-feed, which allows for a cyclic rate of fire between 200 rounds per minute to 700 rounds per minute. One common KA-24 armament is a pair of 8 "Storm" missile racks along with 2 B-32L rocket pods, each able to carry 10 S-15 rockets. Other rocket options include two B-8 rocket pods, each able to carry up to 20 S-5 rockets. The KA-24 features a helmet mounted display for the pilot. The pilot would designate targets for the Navigator/Weapons Officer, who proceeds to fire the weapons required to fulfill that particular task. The integrated surveillance and fire control system has two optical channels providing wide and narrow fields of view, a narrow-field-of-view optical television channel, and laser rangefinder.

How does this helicopter turn? Wouldn't it need two blades on top or at least one in the back?

Why not the StG-45(M)? It's like half the price of the StG-44.

I don't think they manufactured them, I think they just ended up with a bunch of '44s post-WWII and decided to put them to use.

I also need to practice trucks, and make an armored car for the police/SWAT.

Any tips? Maybe about doing windows and shading the vehicles?

For windows, check out some of Korva's drawings. You'll see how he shades in either the top and left sides, or the bottom and right ones to make a perspective of the windows coming in and out respectively.

I usually take the cheap-ass route of making it really, really distinctly dark so that it could pass for non-reflective toned windows or even shutters of a sort covering it if you squint really hard.

Case in point: The "Mudi" APC.

Eh, I kinda go shading-happy sometimes, so I think I'll make the windows look nice.

Also, how does everyone make new tanks/aircraft/whatever? Do you use another vehicle or vehicles as a base or general outline and then go to work cutting and adding onto it like a sculpture, or do you completely do a new outline and use other things to compare the scale?

I get a box in the correct dimensions for the scale. I then find blueprints for what I want, and scale them down into that box. I then usually do the outside and wheels first, before moving on to other bits.

EDIT: I might well have massively misunderstood the question. New stuff? I take old Soviet stuff, and add some cool modern shit on to it.

I do both, sometimes.

But generally, I like to sketch it out on paper and then trace over that in my image editing software. It comes out much better when I do that, I've found.

Generally the first, yeah.

Normally I'm lucky enough to have it look somewhat distinct after I'm done, but when that doesn't happen I tend to beat it into shape. Generally, that involves going overboard with armor plating covering the tracks for me. I guess the bigger problem is keeping your things in line with each other - making sure they look like they're part of the same army, that is.

I start with a scale drawing on paper (highly detailed, measured and scaled with a ruler), and base those dimensions off of measurements I make from blueprints of real-life equipment. This also gives me a good opportunity to erase and re-do as needed, so that if something looks "off" somehow I can work it out early on instead of getting really frustrated when I have to resize everything at a late stage in the game. After this, I copy my hand-drawing's outline onto the screen by measuring lengths of lines here and there and converting them into pixels. Once the outline is up, I check to make sure I like it, then start adding detail.

And yet, for all the effort I put into not tracing right off another image, people still glance at what I've drawn and mistake it for its real-life equivalent.

Thanks. I usually use another vehicle as a base and work off of it, too.

I suck as actually drawing with paper and a pencil, so sketches are out of the question.

My sketches are stickman tier unless I try really hard. And when I do that, I need time. And that makes me get distracted by other things.

Which is why I do most of my things on multi-layered graphics files.
