Enter Yak-141 VTOL jets taking off from Ulyanovsk carriers to provide support for T-7 heavy tanks as they roll around the battlefield extinguishing what's left after the IT-1s are done by using ALL teh machine guns. All the while 1K17s are blazing across the battlefield zapping everyone in the eyes with doom lasers. And MiG-105's are zooming in from outer space to drop bombs on stuff before performing feats of perfect low-speed handling and landing.

Didn't the Soviets have plans for a "ATGM MBT" at some point? Back when Khrushchev was going through his "lol misselz" phase?

No, IT-1 and Object 287 used "conventional" pop-up missile launchers. The one I'm thinking of fired missiles, and only missiles, from an enclosed turret with a (rifled?) gun.
