medicus is a doctor
consul is the executive office holder (like a president of sorts)
a number of lower offices in the government with a range of titles such as quaestor, praetor, tribune, aedile, propraetor, and proconsul and censor.
A consul could also appoint/ serve as a dictator as appropriate.

senator is of course a senator.

The list could continue endlessly.

Generally, Rejistanis don't use titles except for the word "tahoj", which is used in many occasions. Even Doctors and Professors don't get to call themselves by a certain title. The first republic abolished all titles in an attempt to remove the inequality of the caste system and it sticked.

Tahoj can be used analogue to Sir and Madam or analogue to Mrs/Miss/Mr or in combination with a job title: "Tahoj imxara" is for example a way to address a minister.

People generally refer to each other as "Citizen" if they don't know the other person's name. If they do, they will refer to them by name. Obviously thats when speech is used rather than headchip communication, which turns out to be rather Quakeresque (OOC: Quakers call others by their name, if they don't know it, they will refer to that person as "Friend". BTW I'm not a Quaker!).

The most common titles in Fatatatutti are Mr. and Ms. Some people are called by their job titles - e.g. Dr. or Prime Minister. Titles like Sir or Ma'am are used only to indicate genuine respect, never as terms of deference.

In the military, people may also be addressed by their rank.

The standard Mr./Miss/Mrs./Ms. apply as needed. In more formal settings, by Imitoran culture, Miss is given to the eldest daughter of the household, with Mistress give to all younger daughters. As such, Mr. is granted to the eldest son, with Master being all younger sons. In a non monarchical/titled way, Lord and Lady are given to the male and female head of the house, but have no sort of implication of power, land holding, or other generally assumed grantings from being a "lord". With Imitoran culture to name sons after fathers and grandfathers and the like and daughters after mothers and grandmothers and the like, it is simply a way to differentiate between two possible Joe Smiths in the same house. Of course, a numbering system is also common (Jr, III, IV, etc). However, inside the family unit itself, the setting is much less formal. For example, a son or daughter wouldn't call their father Lord, but mostly just plane old Dad. The use of the more formal terms Father and Mother are rarely found when not addressing someone's position but as a name. More clearly, you wont often hear an Imitoran child saying "Mother said to go to the store" or "Father said we must do the dishes". You will hear someone say "That person there is So and So's Father".

Doctors are Dr. Though many lawyers don't, some refer to themselves as Dr as by Imitoran law to become a lawyer, one must have a doctorate of law. Judges are "The Honorable". In the military, your title is your rank.

The leader of Imitoran is The First Speaker (and as such, informally introduced as First Speaker [Name]), though the full on official over the top form is "(Name), The First Speaker of Imitora, Protector of Her Lands, Representative of Her Peoples, Voice of the Nation".

JOY unit is simply referred to as JOY unit. JOY unit itself is technically a title rather than a name anyway.

Hooks refer to higher-ranking hooks as "sir", and Citizens are expected to do the same, treating all Hooks as superior officers.

Citizens themselves do not have official titles. Mr, Ms, Master and Mrs are commonly used unofficially.

Pr (stands for practitioner, as a medical doctor)
Dr (stands for doctor, non medical, as in having a recognised degree status of Doctor.)
Mr (for men if married or not, except for below)
Miss (for women)
Mrs (for legally married women)
Miter (for men who are legally married in a same sex relationship)
Sr* (stands for Soldier, those who have served in the army, or are)
Sir (given to male teachers, if they teach a class of any age)
Madam (given to female teachers, if they teach a class of any age)
Prof (given to professors)
Lord (given to people who have been awarded these titles in times of exceptional achievement or effort)

*There are sub titles in the army like Private, Captain, General, etc. For example a Private soldier would be Psr, a General, Gsr etc.

Most people are laid back on their titles, except in schools or the army. In Schools some teachers prefer being referred to as Miss rather than Madam though.

Except in diplomatic circles or when dealing with the aristocracy (where a simple "My Lord/My Lady" will suffice), people in New Olwe are addressed by their first names at all times... the nation tries to keep up a casual, informal atmosphere as much as possible.

For diplomacy purposes, foreigners are referred to by their preferred titles (Your Grace, Mr. President, etc.) and Olwean diplomats are referred to by their titles of position (Ambassador, Grand Duchess, etc.).

Military personnel are addressed by both inferiors and superiors using their ranks (in other words, a General would refer to a Corporal by his rank, but the Corporal would also say "General" when addressing his superior). Sometimes lower-ranking personnel do use "sir" in place of rank when addressing superior officers, especially if their families are new to New Olwe by a generation or two (or they themselves are immigrants). The only exception to this is that the Director of Intelligence is always called "Bryan", which happens to be his given name. This is because he is technically a civilian.
Magic-using nation here! I don't RP in MT.

Ramsetia will only utilise titles when a name is not known, or offered. And in a few other situations. In all situations where a title is not appropriate, the Chosen name or an affectionate 'pet name' or 'nickname' is used.

The emperor or empress is addressed by commoners, or people she does not have a personal history with by the impersonal 'His/Her Divine' or by the personal 'Emperor/Empress'

The empress'es council of advisors are referred to by the impersonal 'Minister of (portfolio)' or 'Minister (surname)', again unless there is personal history.

Military personnel are addressed upon first meeting by rank, and surname if it is known. Should there be less than two days between first meeting and second, then Chosen name is used. More than two days will reset towards the 'rank and surname' method.

Beyond this, Judges, lawyers, doctors, scholars, loremasters (religious leaders), teachers, and honoured individuals will introduce themselves with their title, but it is not essential to use the title beyond this introduction.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.

Jankenjin have several forms of address depending on the social status of the one addressing and the one being addressed. When addressing a Jankenjin, it's important to remember the proper suffix used when addressing a member of a given gender: -gu for guujin, -ki for chokijin, and -pa for paajin.

The most common address is Doshigu/Doshiki/Doshipa, which means roughly "fellow" or "comrade". It's a friendly and reasonably polite form of address, and the one you would use when addressing someone you may not be familiar with.

In the military
Tokugu/Tokuki/Tokupa is used by enlisted men to address officers, and by officers to address their seniors.
Senshigu/Senshiki/Senshipa is used by officers to address enlisted men.

In civilian life
Gogu/Goki/Gopa is used when addressing someone of great importance.
Ojigu/Ojiki/Ojipa is used by adults when addressing an older person.
Rogu/Roki/Ropa is used by adults when addressing a younger adult.
Oyagu/Oyaki/Oyapa is used by children when addressing an adult other than their parents.
Kogu/Koki/Kopa is used by adults when addressing a child.

There are many others, but these are the most common ones used. Historically, the term Tonogu/Tonoki/Tonopa was used to address royalty, but this is now obsolete and only used poetically or ironically.

In the family
Each member of a marriage triad addresses their partners differently, depending if they are the ogawa or megawa partner:
  • For guujin, their paajin partner is Opa, their chokijin partner is Meki.
  • For chokijin, their guujin partner is Ogu, their paajin partner is Mepa.
  • For paajin, their chokijin partner is Oki, their guujin partner is Megu.

Children within a Jankenjin family address their parents according to their role, which varies from gender to gender:
  • A guujin child calls their chokijin father Otoki, their paajin mother Okapa, and their guujin foster Onigu.
  • A chokijin child calls their paajin father Otopa, their guujin mother Okagu, and their chokijin foster Oniki.
  • A paajin child calls their guujin father Otogu, their chokijin mother Okaki, and their paajin foster Onipa.
Yes, we have a Factbook, for all those odd facts about this bunch of weird aliens.
