The total number of employees in the Department of the Navy is unknown, but estimated, based on trends over the past six decades, to be at most twenty eight billion.
The United States Navy believes it has eight hundred and ninety seven attack carriers, four hundred twenty eight escort carriers, two thousand three hundred seventy nine cruisers, and an unknown number of destroyers, frigates, fighters, bombers, attack aircraft, assault transports, assault drones, minesweepers/layers, patrol gunboats, landing ships, and auxiliaries.
The budget of the US Navy as of 2941 is expressed solely in scientific notation, approximately $6.28e22 United States dollars were allocated for FY42. This represents spending of approximately 0.8% of the United States' total GDP as of 2941 (~$7.85e24), up from 0.78% FY41 due to the ongoing intergalactic recession which began in the 27th century, and slightly less than the funding received during the Cygnus War (2728-2834) due to post-war cutbacks.
Your worst In Character enemy should be your best Out Of Character friend.- to you who said that: genius!

are you trying to one up me or something?
e: also how do you know you have that many ships and personnel given the effects of light speed lag on information travel?
do you just have all of them sitting next to a planet or something slowly being crushed together into a new star?
