There will be war, there will be rebellion,

But we shall always fight for our rights,
and we shall always hold up our chins!
So we will fight for peace,

We sort of speak in a Canadian accent.

And no, that doesn't mean constant ''eh'' and ''aboot''. Because I've never heard a Canadian speak like that.

We have two predominant dialects of the Greek language in Themiclesia: they are Mycenaean Greek and Attic Greek. Both evolved from a common Hellenic ancestor, but Attic is not descended from Mycenaean. There are significant differences in pronunciation, even with seemingly identical words --

    Δεύς, "Zeus", Myce. /djeus/, but Att. /zdeus/
    ἄνθρωπος, "human", Myce. /ánthro:gwos/, but Att. /ánthro:pos/
    οἶδα, "I know", Myce. /woida/, but Att. /oida/.

There are even grammatical differences:
    Mycenaean has a first person dual form for nouns, adjectives, and verbs, but Attic does not;
    Mycenaean retains the distinct instrumental and vocative cases for nouns and adjectives lost in Attic;
    Mycenaean better represents the stem vowel gradation characteristic of Indo-European languages, cf. Myce. δῶς/δῆς but Att. δόμος/δόμου;

Generally, most Saurians speak with their typical accents, either an accent that is a mix of Italian and American, an accent that sounds a throaty New England-style American accent, or a traditional Italian, Greek, or North African style accent. The few Amurians living in Saurisia speak in your prototypical Russian accent as well.

Then, there are the other species-specific accents, such as the Drakonian accents which typically sounding like a cross between German and Scandinavian accent with the more Saurified Drakonians speaking in American, Italian, Greek, or Russian style accents accents. The Khalkan accent is rather exotic in tone, with a lot of rolling the tongue and hissing, basically sounding Central American while their Serpen comrades usually speak in either a typical Latin American or African style accent. The Dwarves generally speak with a deep-voiced Scottish, Welsh, or Irish accent, the Sslurids' accent sounds a bit like a Persian accent with a lot of hissing and the Ponerians speak in a blend of German and English accent. There are other examples but these are the most notable

It depends on what class or region of Tinell you're in, really. What the phrase "Yeah, I heard about those weird Reil guys" would sound like in that dialect will be posted.

Upper-Class/Central Accents: Tend to be a tad lilted, fast-talking, and for the most part, comprehensible. "Yeah, I heard 'bout tose weird Rill ghise."

Southern/Rustic Accents: Usually rather growling and slower talking, tends to be punctuated for emphasis. "Yeh, I harrd 'out dose warrd Relt goiss."

Culdranthine/Northeastern: Tends to be fast-talking, somewhat high pitched, and cheerful. "Yeah! I heared about thoss weerd Rail giss!"

Reil/Southeastern: Rather slow, montone, and deliberate. Usually fairly angry. "Yes. I heard about weird Rei- Wait one minute, the fuck did you say about species?!"

In general, Melvonians speak moderately slowly, with precisely enunciated vowels and every pronounced consonant well-defined. This results in an accent that sounds like what Americans think British accents sound like, when they cast them as the villains in cartoons.

In our native Latin words are generally pronounced with a rising and falling tone for each word, and hard vowel sounds.

Most Nicians who speak a foreign language use the standard pronunciation for that language and having no noticeable accent is seen as a sign of proficiency in that language in our schools and encouraged. although some people with only a small degree of fluency will have the Nician accent when speaking it.

It depends on where in Draconikus you're from.
Country dwellers tend to speak with a strong Yorkshire accent, whilst the aristocracy adopted the British Imperial accent in the nineteenth century. This has led the townsfolk to speak on a scale between the two - an attentive person, for example, can normally guess the class and level of employment of a person after hearing them speak only one or two sentences.
