Not in the Federal stage, but it IS a recognized dialect of Iberian in the Autonomous Republic of the Kuril Islands.

Only in the Kuril Islands.

Portuguese is spoken by about 38% of the Kuril-Iberian population. Spanish is the more common dialect in the southern islands, but Portuguese is more common in the northern islands.

Schools in the Kuril Islands are required to teach Portuguese, as well as Spanish and Chinese.
