Dammit, you answered a question on my factbook

Just kidding :)

But yes, it is because it is NationStates, and NationStates does not take place on 'earth' as such......

Just wondering. I am still shocked from the high population density. Ya sure there's enough greenary in ya nation?

The Factbook makes your nation seem, well, a little too perfect.

I was hoping for Political Rivalries to end in assassinations, and stuff like that.
Oh well, lets just hope that Uber Committee is overthrown in a violent Communist revolution

The Factbooks of nations are usually published as 'Official' documentation created by the state, i.e. published by the bureaucracy of the nation in question; so therefore it is normal for factbooks to try to hide the bad side of life. ;)

Further on that point, if you look on my actual nation page you will see that it says that crime is 'crippling', so it clearly isn't all 'flowers and sunshine' in La Habana ;) . The premise of my nation is that it is a 'CyberPunk Dystopia' (look it up on wikipedia), basically it means that technology has advanced considerably, but human existence is just as bad as ever, and that the technology has even created additional problems for human existence.

I hope this reply was helpful to you.

They originally referred to other government departments and ministries, but they all now use full titles instead, e.g. Department of Commerce etc, but the security services preferred the 'Division' title and kept it.

Question: what is a "spirit of gravity"?
Also, cool nation.
Nietzsche, Cuba, cyberpunk and great architecture... what more can you want?

'Spirit of Gravity' is a term that Nietzsche uses in his book 'Thus Spake Zarathustra', and devotes a whole chapter to the concept entitled 'Of the Spirit of Gravity' (I cannot say what chapter number it is, as it varies between different versions of the book). Here is a short description of the 'Spirit of Gravity', quoted from Sparknotes.com:

"We take life too seriously, attached to notions of universal good and evil, as if we can only live if we steadfastly follow the good. This is the "spirit of gravity," which sees life as a burden to be borne. Zarathustra urges us to learn to love ourselves (not an easy task, he admits) and to see life not as a test or a burden, but as a joy in which we create our own good and our own evil. Rather than look for the only way to live, we should be able to say, "This is my way; where is yours?""

Yeah, but bureaucracy does not exist here as our governmental size is as small as can be. Many things are done in the private sector and only a small section is still public. That was how the income tax could become ten percent. We're not hiding anything in the factbook, no we're not.
