Background
[hr]

The SARR-56 was designed to replace the venerable SAM-12 rifle which was becoming increasingly inefficient as barrels were worn out and insurgent forces found themselves in possession of automatic weapons which left the security forces at a major disadvantage. Due to cost concerns the Defence Ministry decided to adopt a semi-automatic conversion of the SAM-12 as the new Kalumban service rifle. However severe issues in the conversion process led to the resulting rifle having very little in common with its 'predecessor'.

The weapon was found to have series reliability issues, due to the rushed conversion process and the sub-standard materials used in the construction of the weapon. This forced the adoption of foreign weapons, and eventually the indigenous Shambulio Bunduki-72.

Construction and Design
[hr]
The SARR-56 is a direct impingement design which reduced the number of bolt moving parts to only six: the bolt carrier, then the rear locking tilting bolt which carries the extractor, the ejector and the firing pin, and lastly the recoil spring. In spite of the relativity simplicity of the design it was found to be increasingly unreliable, especially when used in the harsh sandy conditions of the Kalumban bush.

The sights of the weapon were an interesting and ultimately flawed design. The entire rear sight block was adjusted along a rail with 100m increments. As the weapon was made of sub-standard materials the rail quickly wore out, making it impossible to sight, and even when in perfect condition the sight was easily knocked a notch or two when a soldier was moving leading to missed shots and unnecessary casualties.

Variants
[hr]

The SARR-562 comes in two of variants:

  • SARR-56 - The standard rifle
  • SARR-56/70 - A lightened version with a scope mount

Puppet stuffing sounds like a sport banned in the United Kingdom and Australia for being too radical.

Also innawoods lacks weights for every item and the soldier is grosly underequipt and stuff

Edit: please don't vote for me. If I win by some off chance I'm just not going to post it, let one of the others do it.

You lose nothing and gain everything by switching to depleted uranium, including radiation poisoning of people hit by shards of the shattered penetrators after they do their job. Does your tungsten do that?

Ludicrous costs.

DU is a waste product of the nuclear fuel cycle (and weapons programme).
If you don't have a weapons programme or nuclear power programme, DU is an odd thing for you to have.

A rifle, a machine pistol and a handgun, and total carried weight 12kg?
I think you're missing a lot of considerations here or tallied something wrong.

With only the rifle, it's an actual struggle for some militaries to keep combat fighting load under 25kg.

This. Basically whilst I do have a nuclear weapons program it's not nearly as huge as the american or Soviet ones. So there is far less DU to go around. And thus it became uneconomic to develop a whole range of projectiles armors etc. using it when I'd have to develop a second set for non DU on the side anyway.

It depends on what he means by "hunting". If there is no supervision than his soldiers are far more likely to simply live off the land like ye old armies did. Meaning that they'll supplement what little they catch by stealing from the locals. And history has shown us that this approach actually can work quite well a be it for a short period of time.

Regional pools are open, meaning that you can see who voted for whom. And you can thus weed out puppets, non regulars, people you don't like etc. The mechanism is thus that they set up a dummy region and make a pool there. Than they hide the link to it somewhere in the OP. And who ever is lucky to notice it in time gets to vote.

Foraging worked when population density was lower and every army was doing it.

But if you are using valuable daylight to forage and your opponent has field kitchens and MREs, you are probably in trouble.
