Vaeruio sort if has religious freedom, in that Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism are legal and can be practiced in public. Judaism is also legal, Satanism is not along with most mythologies. Though, they can still be learned about. If you do practice Satanism your citizenship will be stripped and you'll be deported from the nation.

While not technically outlawed (as religion was recently legalized), the vast majority of satanists here are little more than edgy teenagers trying to persuade their parents that "it's not a phase, this is who I really am".

Meh, you must ask what sect, for the nine pointed star, it is frowned upon, and could lead to your arrests if they are not careful, but in contrast Modern Satanist groups are loosely organized with a set of moralities which explicitly focus on this world. Some may have a more transcendent, spiritual dimension that might include the possibility of an afterlife. Such groups tend to be more exclusively naturalistic and all shun violence and criminal activities. and Luciferism sees him as symbolic rather than an actual being.

But in general it is treated like any religion, with if its practices do come to harm a citizen, that person is deported/arrested.

Satanism: The belief that I am the master of myself. The religion of Free will, became a popular religion in Deminis after religious/Secular belief education became a mandatory part of college curriculum. The mis information that had been spread by Catholicism was wiped away and referring to Beelzebub as Satan, Lucifer or Devil became tantamount to Slander.

Satanism is one of the most popular forms of hedonism in Deminis, as Abrahamic religions such a Judaism, Muslism Christianity and Catholicism became Socially stigmatized as more and more of the religion blindfold were removed and facts of their history came to light.

((OOC For those who dont know, The Nick name for the christian Belzebub, The fallen favorite angel, Satan was created AFTER Catholic States became antiquated with Satanism. The idea that Satanism is Devil worship is Religious Propaganda. Satanism is in fact a form of hedonism. A belief that life is our own for our choosing and that our fates are in our own hands...

Not strictly illegal, but bullying self-declared Satanists, usually edgy teenagers, is quite widespread, relative to the tiny spread of Satanism that is.
Even the pagans who make up our majority participate with the Jews, Christians and Muslims present in our country, it's just what unites them.

More strictly speaking, nobody, not even the many pagans here, has a positive opinion of Satan. He is seen at the very least as that part of the human mind that pushes man to humiliate his neighbour and everything natural.

The Federal government nor any of the communes have taken any interest in interfering with religious matters, so actual data of religious practices like satanism is scarce. Although some independent studios seems to indicate that some of the alleged satanists are actually misidentified worshipers of the Old Gods.

Religions other than paganism and Christianity are banned and punishable by immediate deportation. There's currently suspected to be around 5,000 satanists hiding within my great nation. But they'll be found soon.

Illegal not for being hateful or promoting infidel ideology or anything, just because the government disregards it as a waste of time and intellectual thought that could be put to something more...patriotic. This is why a lot of religions that aren't the absolute core ones like Christianity and Judaism are banned, like Scientology.

In The Onigiri Enclave, Satanism is...... AWESOME!! Seriously, they do charity work helping folks find ritual sacrifices, they worked towards more stringent inspection requirements for processing human meat, oh, and not many other religions around here can claim they have a weekly Taco Tuesday!! In fact, our Chief of Staff Ulrich Nordstar is a Satanist, along with 5% of our total population.

So yeah, Satanism is not only allowed, but perfectly fine with us.

Satanism is seen the same as any other religion, organized institutions pay taxes like any other business, and your religious rights end where another's personal rights begin

We have very few satanists, mostly because satanism is more of a counterculture to religion as a whole, and only about 15% of our population is religious, and those that are have learned to tone it down
I use all NS stats (even the dumb ones like weather) except for population
Most of my lore is spread around the forums (In cases of conflict, the most recent is canon) because I can't be bothered to make a factbook for everything. There is no prize for finding all of it, not even bragging rights. Why would you brag about something like that?

Kyria | The Status of Satanism

Postby Kyria » Tue Feb 12, 2019 1:27 am

Image
Commonwealth of Kyria
The Status of Satanism

Satanism is a legal practice within the Commonwealth, though the practices of some sects are restricted by secular law. Atheistic satanism is the most prominent amongst the Satanist communities and is completely legal; Atheistic Satanism breaks no laws on decency, religious practice or whatever. However, some theistic satanic sects often face restrictions. Animal sacrifices are criminalised and theistic satanic churches are occasionally investigated and monitored by law enforcement.

The satanist communities within Kyria are small and relatively tight-knit, though the atheistic satanist communities are staunch defenders of the country’s secularity. The Freedom from Religion Foundation has atheistic satanist members.

People are allowed to be part of a religion/cult/belief system, but we don't really advertise anything.

So they could, but since we have been so terrible at keeping up with the submission trends, we can't know for sure. But still, it is entirely possible.

It's allowed, but religious people won't like it. However, it's not like they're actually going to do anything to anyone (besides the occasional ritual here or there), so there's no reason to legislate against them.

Hi! I'm Gold, hero of the Johto Region! My Sprites are in that spoiler you see there.
Because this is based on Johto from Gold, Silver and Crystal, anything introduced in HeartGold and SoulSilver is non-canon in Goldonia. This means that only Kris exists, not Lyra.

Update: It turns out that Pokemon Gold, Silver's demo at Spaceworld 1997 was leaked. Gold himself is developing a "Beta Goldonia" based on the world from this demo.

There is no law against it or any sort of official punishment as that would violate the Constitution of 1902, but it is heavily frowned upon. There is probably a small following, but seeing as most would not take kindly to someone who adheres to such beliefs, they are highly secretive. Regardless, there have been no crimes associated with the religion despite urban legend, so there is no reason to try and root them out.

Satanism is illegal here, they are forced to either covert or be burnt at the stake. If you choose to convert but you are found out secretly practising Satanism, not only will you just be executed but your execution will be televised. This is the case for all people who engage in false religious practices.

It is legal, but frowned upon by most people in our society. However, most individuals on our internet take the time to mock the religion as "childish" and "overtly edgy".

Total Religious Freedom is a staple of Slotherian Lifestyle, provided they do not break any other laws in their practice. Thus, while we’d happily allow Satanism and all other religions in our borders, we would not tolerate any act that breaks a national law, especially including any form of live sacrifice.

Not strictly banned, but not a recognized religion by the state. satanists have no right to proselytize(nor do their abrahamic cousins, for that matter), and known satanists wishing to emigrate to the country will find much difficulty in gaining citizenship. certain practices associated with satanism may also be banned under other laws, as human and most forms of animal sacrifice are illegal under murder and animal abuse laws respectively.

socially it is looked down upon, as each significant religious group has a negative perception of satanism for their own reasons.
