[Ralkovian Grand Island]

The Grand Empire of Ralkovia (commonly called Ralkovia, the GER., The Empire or The Grand Empire) is an Empire run by Emperor Joshua Raskov II consisting of forty nine clans administering eighty five colonies, one hundred and eighty territories and twelve protectorates. The mainland colony is situated Northern Tyrrhenia in the continent of Mednordia. It is bordered by Censoria to the North, The GWO colony of Krypton to the West, and Ascelonia to the South. The colony of Bordenia is in the northwest and borders Yallak.
Forty Eight exiled Balkovian clans migrated from Southern Ralkovia to what is now the Northern Ralkovian mainland about Five Thousand BCE years ago. The Raskov Clan joined an alliance with the indigenous Hadiian Nomads in Four Thousand BCE after the Raskov clan was nearly wiped out by several other clans. By Three Thousand BCE the Raskovs had embarked on an expansion of power and subjugated all lands now known as the Grand Old Empire of Ralkovia.

By the Second Millenia BCE Ralkovian Judaism was adopted and the Empire began a string of historical expansion challenging its long time rivals the Balkovians to the South. Under Emperor Javinian Raskov the Glorious, the Balkovian were crushed and added to the Empire of Ralkovia's historical lands.

Currently Ralkovian economy's estimated 2012 GDP was $300.5 trillion. Per capita income is the regions sixteenth-highest. The country also accounts for a large percentage of the regions global military spending, and is a leading economic, political, and cultural force in the Tyrrhenia.

The Name "Ralkovia" first appeared on stone tablets dated to around 3000 BCE. This matched with the unification of the Original Ralkovian Clan States under the banner of the Raskov Clan. The name 'Ra' is best translated to English as meaning exiles, while the 'Lu' (the a being pronounced silently) best translated to "United" and 'Kovia' translates to "Land of."
The Entire term meaning "Land of the United Exiles." This is different from how the Ancient Tribes referred to themselves as Rakovia or by whatever their own Clan Name was before Unification.

The standard way to refer to a citizen of the Grand Empire of Ralkovia, regardless of ethnicity, is "Ralkovian." "The Grand Empire", "Ralkovian" and "G.E.R" are used to refer to the country adjectivally ("Grand Empire's Military", "Ralkovian Guns").
