What is the Dominant Gaming Platform in your Nation?

In the CSA, Sega is the dominant platform. When Sega was founded in the Polarian Empire and entered the home console market in 1982. And it's chief rival, Nintendo competed with Sega In the Polarian Empire. Sega, established a North American Branch and despite losing ground to Nintendo on the Polarian front. They won large popularity in the United States of America and England and the Confederate States of America. However, company infighting between North American Branch and the Polarian Branch created friction and despite short success with the Dreamcast, the release of the Gamecube, PS2 and XBox hit Sega with a series of blows. Profits dropped and Nintendo dominated the Polarian Markets, while Sony and Microsoft competed for the United States of America and England. But despite the set backs, popularity for Sega stayed high in the CSA. And so, a Confederate businessman by the name of Mark Reynolds. Bought the company and began to reshape it for the CSA market.

Sonic remained the mascot and Sega pulled out of foreign markets and focused on staying strong in the Confederacy. And the release of the Sega Neo in 2004 gave the platform a resurgence. The company also revived many Sega exclusives and created new exclusives for Sega. Diversifying the library of games and has to present day, remained the number 1 gaming platform in the Confederate States of America. The latest Sega console is the Sega Spectrum released in 2011.

For the Upper Party, generally when they're off duty they may play games on their phones or tablets, or they may read books, TV shows, or movies.

For the Lower Party their entrainment consists of Pornography and Propaganda.

Typically the major gaming industry revolves around PC's with console controller add on. This trend grew in the late 90's and early 00's as consoles were still regarded as primitive as compared to PC's but many likes the ergonomics of the handheld controller and it soon became a Trent to set up a console controller to your PC for the act of playing video games which has grown in popularity and is still the dominant gaming platform in the nation.

Most Adabian games have stayed faithful to the PlayStation consoles ever since the first one came to the Adabian market in 1996 (which meant that the Nintendo 64 failed miserably in our country). The first and second PlayStation consoles are still regarded as classics by Adabians; the third one is not so very well-regarded, but it is hoped that the fourth console will be able to win the hearts of much more gamers in our country.

PC and mobile gaming tops in Lasuku due to the rather disproportionate amount of personal capital is invested into the less costly devices. However, consolewise Nintendo Wii takes the cake alongside the /recently/ released PS4 by Sony Playstation.

PlayStation is the most dominant gaming platform, followed by the PC, and Nintendo consoles.

Nintendo as a video game company started in 1970, and begun making their own hardware in 1975. Once they started making gaming consoles like the Famicom, the company soon became one of the world's top gaming companies. Their major icons are Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pokemon.

Sony soon entered the gaming market in 1990 by releasing their first console, the PlayStation. While it didn't became popular at first, once the first Gran Turismo game was released in 1994, the console became a huge hit. Later, the Gran Turismo series became an icon for the PlayStation due to its huge success. Other top selling games for the PlayStation include Ōkami, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Megami Tensei, and Persona. As for foreign games, there was only one that made success in Divine Spirit Mausoleum, and it's the Need for Speed series.

PC is another popular gaming platform. After Toshiba released the Toshiba Mado (窓) '90 in 1990, games started to be released for Toshiba's Operating Systems. One notable PC game series is the Seihou Project, which released their first game on the Toshiba Mado '90 back in 1992. However, they didn't get much fame until they released their sixth game, Banshiryuu, on the Toshiba Mado '97, from then on they became one of the popular PC games.

The Microsoft Xbox Legacy Hologaming System. It's technically a console, though it would be better to describe it as a TV-based PC. It's performance is roughly equivalent to a rigged PC and every couple years, an upgrade kit is released. This is due to console gaming plummeting due to the widespread availability of PC gaming in the mid-21st century, causing both Sony and Microsoft to change marketing strategies. Though, ever since UDAP captured Japan and froze the assets of nearly all companies, Microsoft has held a monopoly on the console industry for almost a hundred years.

Japanese systems have been making a comeback, however, since the Frenkish captured Japan and reintroduced capitalism in the area. The newly refounded Sony Corporation has released a competitor for the Xbox Legacy, the Playstation Ultimate. It's the dominant system over there, and it is slowly creeping it's way into second place in the Empire. Nintendo has mostly just developed games for the Ultimate, although rumors circulate a new console is in development.

Some people still like to rig their computer terminals for gaming. If you have the extra money in your pocket, you can customize a rig to outperform the Legacy and the Ultimate. However, due to the introduction of console upgrades, PC gaming is not in the majority, since most Frenks would rather spend extra money to get something easier than work hard to get the same thing for a cheaper price.

It was so popular, that when SEGA left the Console Market and cancelled the Dreamcast in 2002, SEGA Rutthenia (A Spinoff SEGA Company specialising in Consoles) took over with the consoles, and continued selling Dreamcasts in Rutthenia only. On September 9, 2009 (9/9/09, relating to the original Dreamcasts US Launch date of 9/9/99), the Dreamcast 2 was released in Rutthenia.

Nintendo 64 and Gameboy remain the most popular consoles, with Pokémon being the most popular non-PC series.
