by Erushyia
Erushyia is shifting heavily towards being as eco friendly as possible without adversely affecting its economy. The construction of the Three Gorges Dam let Erushyia power a good chunk of some of its industry renewably. More modern nuclear reactors are being built to both decrease the amount of power being drawn from fossil fuels and to replace some of Erushyia's older model reactors. Wind turbines by the hundreds are also being built both on land and at sea. The vast, empty lands of Erushyia's east are also having massive fields of solar panels built on them.

Fossil fuel burning stations, mostly the extremely inefficient ones such as old model coal burning stations, are also being decommissioned and either being replaced with biofuel stations, CHP (Combined Heat and Power) stations, and nuclear reactors, or their dependencies such as the factories and dwellings they used to power are instead being powered by the more efficient stations in other locations.

There is also an effort to get as many electrical and natural gas vehicles on the roads as soon as possible. In fact, it is illegal to drive a diesel powered car in large cities due to their high pollution. Public transport is also seeing an expansion in order to encourage people to use that instead of driving their own vehicles around cities.

It is hoped that by 2030, that a full 50% of all electricity and power in Erushyia will be generated by renewable sources. Currently, this figure is at just over 30%, so there are high hopes at reaching this target.

by Radiatia
Radiatia at times borders on being a pariah state when it comes to its environmental problems, in fact you could almost call it "eco-rude".

While the federal government has tried to urge Radiatians not to litter, to recycle and to try and cut back on emissions, there is a widespread belief among Radiatian citizens that climate change is either a) a hoax or b) a positive thing ("Winters won't be as cold!")

It's also not helped by contradictory local government campaigns, such as when the state of Skorptsch urged citizens to litter to project the jobs of garbagemen. And of course, fierce lobbying (some might say "politician buying") by the fossil fuel, manufacturing and mining industries has also de-clawed any serious government attempts to improve Radiatia's environmental record.

And as for emissions, well Radiatian cities are famously smog-choked with citizens not thinking twice about having to wear gas masks in public.

by The Fifth Federation
The Fifth Federation's top power source is nuclear fission, and nuclear fission-powered vehicles are common. Most of our citizens use nuclear fission engines in their cars. Politicians have not looked to fixing our nation into a eco-friendly one, through some city governments do. These city governments want to ease pollution with new bike paths, electric car factories, and new public transport. The Fifth Federation however, currently is constructing Cogeneration stations amongst it's lands, and mostly relies on nuclear fission for 51% of it's power, with fossil fuel plants, such as coal plants accounting for the rest. The federation has been accountably notable for the affordable prices of nuclear fission cars, the growing use of Cogeneration stations for it's power, and the large usage of nuclear fission for power. Overall, it depends on nuclear fission as it's main power source, and is moving to Cogeneration for it's future main power source, as well as having a present secondary power source of fossil fuel. Anyways, the governments of cities are moving on to the eco-friendly approach of encouraging the use of bikes, and is creating new public transport routes as well as funding electric car companies to build factories in their cities.

In school, citizens are taught to respect nature because the planet is a gift from the Lord. Consumerism and throw-away culture are heavily frowned upon. Personal computers and smartphones are not available to the general public, so there's no pressure to have the latest and greatest gadgets. In addition, private automobiles and commercial passenger aviation are outlawed in the Holy Catholic State, so the air's much cleaner than in other nations. However, climate change is not a priority on the government's agenda, and climate alarmists (like other naysayers) usually end up in jail for "scandalizing the public authorities".

All of Subhurbia is very eco friendly. None of it is polluted, not the air, the water, or the land. An eco friendly energy source is used throughout the federation. And they don’t harvest their land on a nearly same scale as most real life nations. People only use the resources that their environment has. None of the technology is harmful to the environment.

by Biotopia
Biotopia is completely committed to environmental sustainability, it's even in our central constitution. Coupled with this is the directive to maximise the welfare of the people, within those limits. This policy requires accountability and transparency in international trade, to ensure the net value of imports does not exceed that Earth's capacity. Similarly, Biotopian society is compelled to follow strict rules around the consumption and disposal of material resources. This is not an easy path to follow, but respect for the the Earth is fundamental to Biotopian culture identity.

Interestingly, the Dystopia is extremely Eco-friendly. Around 70% of our territory is legally protected against human interference with poachers, litterers and illegal miners or lumberjackers being strictly punished. The cities (where almost all of the population resides) are built according to the "Eco-city" model developed in the 21st century. All industries and individuals must not reach the strict waste and pollution limits established by the state. The Dystopia is currently trying to build an 100% circular economy.

Environmental Beauty is taken very seriously especially for maintaining our powerful Tourism sector; though we may not be the most eco-friendly we consider environmental beauty impact as an important decision on whether something is good or not. Jinkara started out with terrible environmental beauty and we are proud to say that the country's wildlife has nearly doubled since it's founding.

by Ivory Coasts
the Ivory Coasts are the world's largest investor in renewable energy and its commercialization, with $500 billion being invested in 2017 alone, six times larger than China ($83 billion). By 2015, over 35% of the Ivory Coasts' energy was derived from renewable resources. Hydroelectric power provides over 300 gigawatts of electricity, allowing the Ivory Coasts to be the largest producer of hydroelectricity. The Ivory Coasts also have the largest power capacity of wind power and solar photovoltaics system. In 2014, the Ivorian government began the $700 billion Clean Waters Initiative, which plans to invest water treatment and purification plants, clean bodies of water from garbage, and construct an anti-drought system. Today, only 12% of all bodies of water in the Ivory Coasts are polluted.

However, the Ivory Coasts continues to suffer from severe pollution and environmental deterioration. Urban air pollution is a severe health issue in the country, with the World Bank estimating in 2017 that one of the world's 20 most-polluted cities are located in the Ivory Coasts. The country is the country with the seventh-highest death toll because of air pollution. There were an estimated 92,000 deaths as of 2017 related to exposure to ambient air pollution. The Ivory Coasts are the third-largest carbon dioxide emitter behind the United States and China.

Heavy metals are also a major source of environmental pollution, causing hazards resulting from inorganic chemicals as a result of chromium, cadmium, lead, arsenic, mercury, copper, zinc, cobalt and nickel. Of these five metals, lead, chromium, arsenic, cadmium and mercury are the largest heavy metal pollutants in the Ivory Coasts. These pollutants mainly come from manufacturing of metal-containing products, mining, sewage irrigation, and other production-related activities. According to the Ivorian government, the Ivory Coasts is home to more than 1 million sites of heavy metals exposure. Conversion of heavy metals into waste water and waste gas is banned. However, the total volume of discharge heavy metals into solid wastes were around 200,000 as of 2015.

One of the reasons Dark Magic is so heavily stigmatized is due to its lack of environmental impact. The inability of Dark Magic to generate pollution or increase the likelihood of cancer goes against the intended balance of the universe by allowing civilizations to develop highly advanced technology without sacrificing the health of others.

As a result of this, the Twilight Embassy is aggressively eco-friendly.

Pulsroth is generally very environmentally conscious, as a result of 4 decades of eco-friendly infrastructure improvement. The country was previously nuclear powered, until a serious accident at the Northholt 1 Facility in 2015. Today, 91% of our electricity is generated either by geothermal or hydroelectric plants.

In addition, 72% of daily commuting traffic into Pulsroth's major cities is done on public transport, most of which runs on electric power.

by Earthbound Immortal Squad
Here in Earthbound Immortal squad we believe in alternate sources of fuel but in also localising much of our infrastructure, and employment. This way we can have reliable public transport to get the majority of our population to work and have very little in terms of private cars as most people will be employed within either walking, cycling or public transport distance of work. We don't believe in a throw away economy and we have a very large recycling industry. We don't have many commercial aircraft, only for cargo and a small number for people wishing to go on holiday. Despite this we have a very strong tourism industry due to our environmental policy. With the recent international growth of electric cars this nation has chosen not to embrace them as they still use fossil fuels to produce the electricity and the some of the other components are considered endangered elements. Instead we are investing in hydrogen fuel cells, thorium fuel cells amongst others. We have also made sure that the majority of our nation can be fed from locally grown produce as a way of avoiding the heavy cost and environmental impact by having constant flights and shipments from elsewhere, and a law is in place to make sure that at least 60% of the nations agricultural supplies comes from Earthbound Immortal Squad. We also have a laws ensuring that all essentials to life are government owned so that we can regulate the usage and stop unnecessary waste that private companies would likely do hence hindering the environment. Our nation also has a policy of making the area between cities full of trees to ensure low carbon dioxide levels and that these trees are protected by law and also are old trees which have far more impact helping CO2 levels than cheap trees which we have observed other nations using believing that it will have a significant impact on helping the environment in the short term.

(OOC)

Well, I started by simply prioritizing environmental matters over the economy whenever I answered issues of that kind.

My nation was very communist until a couple of years ago, and it's a lot easier in game to get a nicer environment when you regulate the economy to that extent, as opposed to having a capitalist state. Just because of how the game works.

Hope this helps!

Until recently not much. But, In the last years our nation has improved a lot in envirovement protection laws, enforcing them, making our country greener in general. We have scalated ecofriendliness indexes.
As, our economy has been improved a lot in the recent years and also our envirovemental conscience. Also, with less poverty and a larger middle class more people cares for envirovement.

Megathalassan colonies form a biome known as reefs. Europa's equivalent of a rainforest, Megathalassan reefs are home to millions of species, and billions of individual creatures, housing 37% of all species of Europa. Megathalassans are also among the largest contributors to the Anaclyptic Explosion of Europan life, housing the most divergent life forms in the moon. The stable skeletal structures of Megathalassans form shields against powerful and violent forces, such as suboceanic currents, that can shelter creatures in the event of natural disasters such as earthquakes and eruptions. Megathalassan colonies are the largest source of methane, which heats up the oceans of Europa and ensuring they are liquid.
