EBC is an Egyptosian public service broadcasting statutory corporation. Its main responsibility is to provide impartial public service broadcasting in Egyptos. The EBC is headquartered at Broadcasting House in Al Qahira and has major production centres in Madint Nasr,Uptown Cairo, Zomoroda, Al Masharbia, Al Kawthar and Joba, and smaller production centres throughout the AUSE.
The EBC is a public service broadcaster that operates under a licence and agreement from the Media Association.Within the AUSE its work is funded principally by an annual television licence fee, which is charged to all Egyptosian households, companies and organisations using any type of equipment to receive live television broadcasts; the level of the fee is set annually by the Egyptosian Government and agreed by Parliament.
