When a pilot of Air Vallermoore who unknown to his superiors was having a messy divorce deliberately crashed his jumbo jet plane into another in mid air. All 2000 passengers (1000 on each jet) and 30 crew (15 per jet, most of them in charge of providing food and drink to the passengers) died.

A Connurist Airways plane has yet to crash, although on numerous occasions our aircraft have been targeted by AGMs. However, due to missile defence capabilities installed on the aircraft none have been downed.

However, once, in 2004, an aircraft operated by Korea Air suffered landing gear failure and crash landed at Diamond Bay International Airport. 17 people died, including the pilots.

An airplane operated by Lalaki Airlines was taking off from the runway under conditions of heavy fog. Due to directional misinformation, and huge mistakes from both the ground control and the pilot, the plane's wing collided with a high-rise not too far away as it was beginning its ascent. There were no fatalities, but millions of dollars were lost in damage costs, and the office tower had to be demolished.

Most people on board were critically injured, and three were hospitalized for around four months.

The worst aviation disaster to happen within our borders was the 1996 Air France flight 202. Flying from Paris to Athens. Halfway through the flight, at 1km altitude there was a depressurization below the cargo bay where a seal had been broken due to sub-standard pre-flight checks, the bottom of the hull was ripped off. Flight 202 attempted to descend and make a waterborne landing in the Adriatic, off the coast of Bari in Italian Ubaria, however due to structural damage, the integrity of the craft was low and it broke into 3 pieces 400m above the sea and the wreckage slammed into the water, presumably killing all on impact. All the bodies were recovered over the course of 15 days by Navy Divers.

This led to an inquiry about how the broken seal went undetected before takeoff, and gave birth to more rigourous checks both before takeoff and after landing to ensure the structure of the craft was suitable for flight.

288 people died including 13 crew. 155 were French Nationals, 82 were Ubarian Nationals, 35 were British, 9 were North Italian and 7 were American.
Yo, that's mad.

In 2004 Starblast Airlines Flight 809 from Helsinki to Ashkabia crashed into a resedential area near Ashkabia Airport as the pilot veered off course while attempting to land in thick fog. All 203 on board were killed, as well as 80 more on the ground. The resulting fires destroyed or damaged beyond repair around a hundred buildings, many of them houses.

Date: 30th November 1999
Place: New London Airport
Aircraft involved: 2x De Havilland Comet 4
Deaths: All aboard both flights - 170+
Cause of disaster - Unsafe weather conditions, unsafe working hours for control tower staff

The "New London Airport Disaster" was Wardie land's worst aviation disaster, at 2:30 PM on the 30th November 1999, in the midst of a terrible storm, Wardie land Imperial Airways flight WIA 222 was undergoing its take-off run, WIA 222 had a full capacity of 81 passengers, 4 cockpit crew, and several cabin crewmembers, however a mistake in the control tower meant Wardie land Imperial Airways flight WIA 038 had been given permission to land, since neither pilots could see more than 5 feet in front of them, they were relying on instruments, just after WIA 222 took off she crashed into WIA 038, the wreckage fell to the ground and exploded, killing any and all survivors, the disaster caused strengthening of safety regulations, it was revealed in an inquest than the control tower staff member who had given WIA 222 permission to take off was tired from a long shift and was having difficulty paying attention to the screen, so a regulation regarding safe working hours was brought in, another regulation stated that extra care had to be taken if visibility was lower than 100 yards.

Air Scresan (Stylised airscresan at that time) flight 1003 was flying from Scresan International Airport to Xerox Airport. The aircraft, a Tunoka T500, which is a 300-seat in a one-class layout was a newly introduced aircraft, with airscresan being the launch customer. Having being launched just a month before, the aircraft was new obviously. An hour into the 2 hour flight, a error on the ground and a computer malfunction read that the fuel tank was full. It was anything but. The engines cut. The flight was carrying all 300 passengers. As it began to descend, and disappeared off radar, a Veronan Air Tunoka T900, a 3-class 345 passengers double-decker aircraft, was flying just lower. The airscresan flight collided with the Veronan Air flight. No one survived.

Flight: MAW Flight 1280
Date: July 5, 1976
[b]Summary:
976, Motokatan Airways Flight 1280 was flying cross country from Motokata City to Giang Minh Provence in far western Motokata. While crossing the Rinami Mountain Range, the plane flew into a violent thunderstorm and crashed into the mountains killing all 288 aboard. Because of the terrain and height of the mountains time to reach the plane was a slow one and officials had suspected a lightning strike probably brought the plane down but a few years of study and investigation of the wreckage experts now believe the plane was probably caught in a micro-burst which forced it down to the ground. It remains the deadliest crash in the history of the company and Motokatan Aviation.

Sounds to me like the T900 was in contravention of ICAO regs mandating spacing and direction.

We can all fly, and while air accidents do happen (especially over cities where there may be 100 million people in the air at the same time - some flying literally inches from each other), the fact that we don't ride inside each other means that we haven't ever had any aviation disaster.

At worst, a poor flyer in a city will take out four or five other people as he falls through that dense traffic, and may nail a couple more on the ground when he hits. Even when someone comes down, though, his current body is usually the only casualty. We're quite good at getting out of the way of falling countrymen. It's also considered good form for anyone who is falling to set their failing body to constantly yell "MOVE" at siren-level volumes before jettisoning that body and mind-transferring away to their spare bodies.

Fortunately, we rarely crash anyway. Flying to us is as natural as it is for birds, so we can navigate through huge aerial crowds just fine. Our air travel zones look a bit like this over the big cities, only with fighter planes:

Image

So...no, we don't have aviation disasters. That would require far too many people to not know how to operate their own bodies.

Location:
- Suburbs of Granite Bay, Bormeatri

Aircraft:
- Bormeatrian Airlines Flight 28 (Boeing 777)
- BAF Refueling Aircraft
- BAF F-18

Casualties:
- Flight 28 - 403 killed
- BAF Refueling Aircraft - 6 killed
- BAF F-18 - 1 killed
- Civilians on the ground - 329 killed, 1,300+ injured
Total - 739, 1,300+injuried

Cause:
- The Granite Bay Accident is the worst aviation disaster in Bormeatrian aviation history. At 10:20 am local time, Flight 28 departed from Granite Bay International Airport. The flight was in en-route to Lisbon, Portugal. At 10:29 am Flight 28's communications and electronics malfunctioned, the flight crew decided to return to GBIA and land. At the same time the BAWGs (Bormeatri Annual War Games) were underway, and an BAF F-18 had just connected to a BAF Refuel Aircraft. The BAF aircraft were preforming practice maneuvers and mid-air refueling. At 10:34 am Flight 28 was making it's final turn to land when it collided into the refueling aircraft. The control tower warned both BAF aircraft of Flight 28, but the refueling nozzle was stuck in the F-18, so the aircraft were not able to change their course. The collision tore the right wing off of Flight 28, and heavily damaged the refueling plane. Flight 28 cartwheeled over the refueling plane and nosed dived towards the ground. Just a few seconds later the fuel ignited on the refueling plane causing both of the BAF aircraft to explode. Flight 28 impacted an apartment building nose first, causing all 403 people on board to die. The impact caused 252 people to die in the apartment building and 900+ to be injured after parts of the building collapsed. Debris from the BAF aircraft landed in a neighborhood, killing 77 people and injuring 250+. The debris and Flight 28's impact caused fires to break out on the ground resulting in over 100+ injuries.

The Old Pejitean Airlines, "Dtresedt Airlines" flight PAN04 carrying 203 passengers to Dubai in 1981 plunged into the gulf sea. Only 5 bodies were recovered while the black boxes were recovered only 5 years later. The cause was unknown but sabotage or human error are the suggested causes (one suggestion is a flock of birds also caused it). During this time, flight safety and regulations in the country were so bad that several passenger plane would collapse in the hangar due to neglect. Later "Dresedt Airlines" would go bankrupt and be sold to another company. Safety regulations are much much better now.

Flight 210 of Bananair

Location: Sotherby, Northwester-Provence, SuperFruitLand

Casualties:

Flight 42: 116 dead
Flight 210: 310 dead

Description:
Flight 42 was flying a routine regional flight from Pearakin to Sotherby. Flight 210 was flying an international flight to Eston City, Rodrania. There was heavy fog around Sotherby International Airport, located at sea level. ATC at Sotherby mistakenly directed the landing Flight 42 to Runway 4, where Flight 210 happened to be preparing for takeoff. Due to electrical malfunctions, Flight 210 did not have its radar signal on, thence ATC did not know the location of said plane. The planes collided on the runway. Everybody on both planes perished.

During the solidification of the Spanish annexation, we were launching a wave of aircraft from an aircraft carrier to bomb out resistance buildings. As the first plane was starting up, something happened and it exploded, this caused the chain reaction of the other plane exploding and destroying a large part of the carrier.

91 soldiers were killed, another 21 were permanently injured or disfigured, and over 40 were temporarily injured.

DragonAir flight D1209 crashed landed in the town of Riverwood after a catastrophic engine failure blew the wing off, the plane was a HM 20-858, that has a seating capacity of 450. 447 people were killed in the resulting explosion and crash, while 4 people who weren't on the flight were killed by falling debris and the falling plane itself.

Squiz Test X412 was a test flight that was being undertaken by aerospace manufacturer Squiz Limited, to prove the viability of a nuclear powered jet engine. Upon landing after a twelve hour test flight from Squiz's factory in Lilydale it was found that the reactor had been improperly secured, and the engines had been belching highly radiated air residue the entire flight, around 90 deaths have been blamed on this, but the real death toll is estimated to be much higher, as much as 500.
