The Greater Island Kingdom is still very interested in establishing a diploamtic post in your nation. We must point out the reason that embassies around the world are restrictive about giving entry to foreign police.

The idea of a fugitive can vary from location to location. You can be assured that New Hayesalian embassies do not give a home to common criminals of any nationalities. Murderers, rapists and thieves will find no immunity from the law in a New Hayesalian Embassy and Yukonastanian police will be called to detain and charge that person.

It is in very specific cases that we may harbor someone. This is commonly due to incidences where there are elements of serious persecution- whether it be political, social or religious- and the granting of a refugee visa, which we believe is not a serious concern in Yukonastan. In these cases, we respectfully decline police requests to enter the Embassy to make arrests.

This is standard international practice and a privelege enjoyed by Yukonastani Embassies around the world, and would certainly be enjoyed by a Yukonastan Embassy in New Hayesalia. It is also World Assembly law (GAR22), of which Yukonastan must comply with.

We also point out that there is no binding rule that you must apply this exemption to all other nations.

An embassy is the best way to open and maintain efficient diplomatic relations. We urge you, therefore, to grant an exemption to rule 7 to the New Hayesalian Government in line with international law and custom.
