Has your nation ever been in defcon 1?

My nation is currently in defcon 1.
To those who don't know what defcon 1 is, it's basically nuclear war.

We have never been in a state of DEFCON 1. We are currently considering the possibility of building nuclear weapons to defend ourselves against the aggressive states of this multiverse, so, God forbid, we might actually be in state of DEFCON 1 some 25-30 years to the future.

The highest Armed Forces Mobilisation Code (The hotgratian version of the DEFCON) ever reached would be C (3). However, AFMC A (DEFCON 1) won't be used due to the lack of nuclear weapons in the HAF.

We went up to defcon 2 once when our leader was successfully assassinated, causing a very large-scale war. We've never been to defcon 1, though, because we have spent exorbitant amounts of money on defense since the previously mentioned event, and we now reside in a region wherein we are surrounded by much weaker and less influential nations, most of which don't even own nuclear weapons.

We have warheads. But it's basically filled with 5 tons of very strong weed. Once it hits it's target, we just send boots on the ground.

Uh, excuse me, but this was about if your nation ever has been in DEFCON 1, not if you have any nukes.

It's a rather naïve thing to assume that every country has a DEFCON system, or a congress, or a president; this nation, for one, doesn't have a DEFCON system. But yes, we have been to war.

We don't have a DEFCON system but we do have a warning system that is equivalent that was developed after the Triumvirate Agreement between Neo-Joseon, the USSR, and the United States. It's known as the State of War and International Stability or SWIS. It is modeled off of the United States DEFCON system with a 5 being total retaliation involving WMDs.

We've reached a "5" status or DEFCON 1 once before as an accident. The Soviet Union launched an unknown satellite into orbit, which we believed to have housed nuclear missiles or targeting systems for nuclear missiles. While we could not call the Soviets out on it as it was not confirmed, two weeks later, the United States launched a communications satellite which was mistaken for a nuclear launch by Soviets. Neo-Joseon spies intercepted this communication and believed it to be a nuclear launch as well, which was further confirmed by the previous Soviet satellite from two weeks earlier beginning to transmit telemetry we mistook as targeting parameters for a retaliatory strike (when in reality it was just an imaging feed). We were immediately put on SWIS 5 and the keys had already been inserted and turned. All that was left was to wait for the targeting system to lock on to all major cities in the US and USSR.

And then we discovered it was a communications satellite. No missiles were fired and a quick call was all it took to diffuse the situation.

This.

Zhouran doesn't use DEFCON, but rather, we use the Alert Readiness Condition, or ARC for short, which is an alert state used by the Zhouranese People's Army since 2017. The ARC was developed by the People's Defense Council.

Also, we haven't been to war, yet.

Nuclear weapons were used against us in the late 40's. We didn't have any ourselves.

Does that count as defcon 1?
