An agency responsible for collecting and coordinating intelligence and counterintelligence activities abroad in the interest of the imperial government. Operates under the Ministry of Intelligence.

The National Monitoring System has long been denied to exist in the Corporate Confederacy. However outside observers and analysts agree on how it functions:

All citizens are monitored through the following means:

-Facial recognition of video feed of CCTV cameras in public areas and of private security cameras (all private security companies are required to submit their feed to the government), identifying an individual's location, patterns of movement, and clothing.
-Citizens are also monitored from the use of transit passes or identity checkpoints, which also aides in establishing an individual's location or their patterns of movement.
-Many cities within the Corporate Confederacy have multi-story/elevated streets. In order to navigate these streets, many citizens buy GPS systems, which inform drivers which streets have the fastest traffic flow, and suggest the fastest routes possible. Unfortunately this information is cross-correlated by using a database from the government. But not too many drivers are complaining, happy to receive this "service."
-Cell phone GPS tracking.
-License plate readers, both privately and publicly owned.
-Purchasing patterns based upon credit card information. Citizens who make cash purchases are also monitored and identified via face recognition programs. Cash when it is processed by a bank or leaves an ATM, has it's serial number digitally recorded.
-Internet browsing habits, downloads, emails forum posts, etc.
-Conversation analysis by computer programs, which analyze the tone of how certain words are said, and the frequency of some words are said. The conversations monitored are typically from wiretapped telephone lines, but may also included bugged residences or offices.
-Nonintrusive load monitoring, which monitors the devices plugged into a power supply, enabling officials to determine activity within a home without planting bugs or cameras, which could enable officials to determine when it would be safe to secretly plants bugs or cameras.
-Random secret house searches, which result in the documentation of belongings and appliances.

All this data is cataloged in a database and cross-correlated with the routines or actions with other possible terrorists or former terrorists. For example redflags would be put up if a person spoke about the government in a derisive tone, repeatedly visited websites which glorify terrorists, went to meet with a suspected member of a terrorist group repeatedly, and began to purchase large quantities of gasoline and fertilizer. Another example would be that a person fingered by an informant as a terrorist leader would be monitored, and so would individuals suspected of meeting with that person.

The NMS was not the result of a concerted project, but was created over time as new tools were developed to combat terrorism and threats to public safety, and as databases were slowly consolidated. The NMS is maintained by an unknown and possibly secret government agency.

The Ministry of State Security and Intelligence (MSI) or The Guóānbù is the internal security, intelligence, and secret police organisation of Minroz. They're responsible for the maintenance of law and order and the deterrence of espionage and subversion. It has eight directorates including foreign operations, internal political control, military counter-intelligence, surveillance and border guards.

Originated from the 'Jinyiwei' (Brocade-clad guards), their ancient predecessors, the Guoanbu are well-known for their unshakable loyalty to the Holy Emperor and the Imperial family, their near-limitless capacity for hard work, high level of efficiency, and ruthlessness in dealing with their enemies. Hence, they were authorised to overrule judicial proceedings in prosecutions, with full autonomy granted in arresting, interrogating and punishing anyone, including nobles and the Emperor's relatives.

As the most enigmatic organisation in the Empire that only the Emperor and his Inner Circle are privy to their secrets. Their troops alone is rumoured to be numbered over 1 billion, armed with its own tanks, aircraft, and ships. The Guoanbu can be an invisible, all-pervasive force, seemingly omnipresent and omniscient, at all places and at all times. They are renowned in the Middle Kingdom for being incorruptible enforcers of justice, despite their dark reputation.

More or less, they're the Minrozian KGB in proverbial sense but...more efficient and deadly.

The largest organization with an intelligence function in the Realm of Traekun is the Censorate, widely considered one of the most powerful arms of the Traekunian Bureaucracy. The Censorate is an intelligence agency, a secret police, a census office and a tax collection agency. The High Censor is a member of the Royal Council, the direct advisors to the Monarch and extremely powerful individuals in and of themselves. Three distinct types of Censors exist. White Censors are charged to deal with treason, internal corruption and public morality and are best seen as secret police. Grey Censors are charged with the census itself as well as tax collection and are the least dangerous but most numerous Censors. Black Censors are charged with the identification and exploitation of enemies to the Monarchy, both domestic and foreign, and are best seen as intelligence agents.

The second organization that could be seen as an intelligence agency would be the Royal Guards, which while composed primarily of actual guards is also charged with securing the defense of the monarchy by more subtle means. For this reason, the Royal Guards frequently place agents within other Traekunian organization as moles to ensure any plots against the Monarchy can be swiftly dealt with. The Royal Guards and the Censorate do not get along well, the Censorate having far more overall power but the Royal Guards being out of their jurisidiction due to being direct Royal servants and thus not a part of the official government.

The final, and most simplistic, intelligence agency is the Royal Traekun Army's Covert Operations Unit. It is woefully underfunded, thoroughly infiltrated by both the Censorate and the Royal Guards, and viewed as dishonorable and untrustworthy by the RTA itself.

Typically our intelligence agency is just called the Dalcarian Intelligence Agency or Dalcarian Intelligence Service. It's a little like the GSG-9 in that people know of it, but virtually nobody knows what it does. It's primary job is to keep an eye on things in the country at all times, to see what happens in the shadows and shots before someone else can. They can spy on virtually every person in the country, however they really only spy on person's considered to be of interest to the Empire (partly for practical reasons, and partly to respect the privacy of the average citizen), be that in our best or worst interests. Currently they are collecting information on House Black, an organization much like the SS that has been totally banned in the Empire. Furthermore, they are also collecting information on demons and potential demon attacks/invasions of our nation. Also, they're keeping an eye on whatever seems interesting to the Empire.

The Overwatch is Serrian's chief intelligence agency responsible for the defense and offense of Serrian. Beside their office on Terminus Island, their main base of operations is located on a small island not even listed on the maps.

They contain numerous divisions, as well as being directly responsible for the deployment of one of our cover groups, the Blue Raven PMC. They also train their own task force, the Overstrike.

Our nation's intelligence agency is "Vladislav Intelligence Inc." Sorry we cannot mention our activities because Vladislav Intelligence Inc. is super secret only government official knows about their activities and also all workers and officials of the Vladislav Intelligence Inc.

There's at least three types, varying in secrecy and skill: the Federal Security and Intelligence Directorate is the most publicly known, designed for more skilled soldiers. Then there's the Blackwatch Special Forces, which has just recently been known to the public and only appears when there's an biological outbreak; overall, they are a biological containment squadron. Finally, we have the Warrior's Order, which operates as both the reserve troops and as special operatives for terrorist cells. The inner workings of the Order are protected to the point that not even government officials know much on their internal workings, and if a person is accepted, they take an oath of silence and have to fake their death before entering.

Under the Marxist coup d'etat of Albert Windzor in the 1890s, there used to be 3 soldiers in every building/household, the Homeland Intelligence Units, AKA the "Hiuforce."

The Apostolic Kingdom of Floydian Britannia has several intelligence agencies, most of which are charter companies operated under strict contracts with the Monarchy. The three major ones that are allowed to have information given to the public are:

1- The Floydian Britannia Ministry of Intelligence (FBMI): This public agency primarily handles domestic intelligence and counterintelligence operations, often with the aid of the police.
2- The Imperial Military Perceptions Program (IMPP): This official military agency handles military intelligence and counterintelligence operations
3- Apollo: This private intelligence agency still remains mostly shrouded in mystery. Any leaked documents on Apollo usually regard various forms of foreign intelligence and counter-intelligence

Although mostly classified, the nation's powerful and feared Mages' Association does have a branch that deals with intelligence operations, especially when secretive technology (aka Magic) is involved.
