Model's on this site, though the description is in Korean. The title seems to claim that it's an "M61A6 TUSK," which after a little further investigation is an upgrade of a fictional MBT from the "Gundam" series - also known for its giant fighting robots.

Of course you can force something. Just keep bringing it up no matter how many times people tell you your idea is stupid and uninteresting. Start forcing the idea of MT pike nosed tanks.

Honestly this is how armour should be done on NS instead of just making up random numbers without considering the actual thickness or overall weight of the armour. Also more useful for RP purposes anyway, doesn't require that everyone memorize the penetration values of their guns at various distances. Just look at its protection, look at your weapon, is weapon>protection weapon wins. Simplified, but honestly simplicity is best for NS.

Plus there are very few people on NS I trust to make accurate estimates of what kind of armour their tanks could have.

I'll have to googledrive that Tanksharp spreadsheet sometime, that's very useful for MBT design.

This approach is a double-edged sword, though. Penetration has more to do than just caliber - look at the difference between M829 and M829A3 ammunition, not to mention the differences among various Soviet 125mm APFSDS. Plenty of modern tanks might be protected against, say, all-steel 125mm darts from early T-72s while vulnerable to the latest penetrators for the 105mm L7. "RHA equivalency" is a far from perfect measure, but one of its advantages is the ability to compare at least a general sense of the penetration capabilities of very different types of ammunition.

This is tanksharp. It allows you to numerically design a tank.

It's very handy. Does all the calculations for you.

Its a rough guideline, which is less applicable with guns and munitions of above or below 'average' performance. Let us take the 90mm - 105mm - 120mm progression in tank gun calibers in the West. It will be noticed that where attempting to squeezing the most out of a given caliber (i.e. 105mm IWS APFSDS ~450mm @ 2,000m) penetration performance approach that of legacy ammunition of the next higher caliber (i.e. older 120mm rounds; M829 ~540mm @ 2,000m). Another comparison is Mecar's 90mm M690A1 (~300mm @ 2,000m) vs 105mm M735A1 (~300mm @ 2,000m), both APFSDS rounds.

In any case the figures were going off Western weaponry's calibers (thus no, not that the turret front reliably stops 120mm APFSDS while easily failing to weaker Soviet/Russian 125mm) which I imagine to be what this tanku is going to be shot at with mostly. :P

If one seek to be as accurate as possible I would suggest defining protection in terms of specific munitions that can be reliably (>= 90%) defeated which is AFAIK the case IRL. However this can be difficult on NS if the expected threats are not fixed and limited in number.

Edit: All in all probably a good enough approach for armchair generals like us IMO.

Thanks for the link.

This is interesting. Will work better somewhat with 3D models to get actual size and volumes for input.

True, but it is better than saying "my tank has 1450 mm protection against KE and 2000 mm protection against CE" without actually calculating it. Honestly you don't need to list actual protection, Lyras doesn't, just state the composition, based off the weight, dimensions, and armour composition just guess whether it will penetrate. It is honestly about as reliable as making up armour figures.

I just broadly assume that the tank guns of NS tanks have a reasonable chance at penetrating my tanks from the front.

And try to shoot at these tanks as soon as possible so as little of them make it to shooting my tanks from the front as possible.
