You can't be serious. The angled Leopard 2 turret is possibly the only decent looking turret on a modern western tank this side of the Type 74.

Question to the thread: What do you use to transport your vehicles within your borders?

Yukonastan is known for a massive and well-developed railway network, and military planners haven't forgotten this. Materiél is mostly transported by rail, and for some excercises even is operated on rail.

Military planners in the Soodean Imperium have long grappled with the idea of long-distance relocation of heavy vehicle assets. Most vehicles, such as wheeled APCs and supply trucks, might be able to travel under their own power; but questions of fuel consumption, suspension wear, and damage to local roads regarding heavier tracked vehicles persuaded military planners to pursue other options. Under the preceding DPR Menghe regime, the expansion of the national railway network was motivated not only by the drive for industrialization but also by the need to transport tanks and IFVs by train. Today, railroad remains the dominant means for long-distance transport, and has been supported by the addition of "heavy lifting units," which can transport heavy vehicles on reinforced flatbed trucks.

The empire has a well developed rail and road network. The main hubs are connected with their own independent rail network for the military trains.

Why on earth would he want to modernize a M113 when he could instead have access to vehicles of a similar design built in the era?

Within the Homeland archipelago, ships for inter-island transport (where there are no Great Bridges), tank-transporter trailer-trucks on roads or railways within islands (or to islands connected via rail or Great Bridge).

For overseas territories and military bases we either ship them there or fly them there (once there, again tank-transporter or railway).

Edit: El Stupido.

Armoured vehicles are transported variously by rail or by truck, depending on the location and number.
If the distance is low, or the commanding officer in question deems the move also "an exercise" then the vehicles are moved under their own power. Due to the otherwise limited space to maneuver and train in armoured vehicles in Chebucto, and the unique terrain constraints, it is not uncommon to see small groups of AFVs conducting their moves as "exercises" rather then relying on rail or truck. Because of this tourists are known to commonly snap pictures with troops undertaking such moves at rest stops and such locations.

Depends what's being transported, where, and in what quantities. Light tactical trucks and other wheeled vehicles are usually driven under their own power. Depending on how many need to be transported, the destination, and the requisite speed, heavier vehicles generally go by road, rail, or air. Within the mainland, travel is generally by rail, but to overseas holdings transport is generally by sea. Road transport is common especially when transporting smaller amounts of equipment over shorter distances, or to locations where rail access is more limited. Air transport is common for longer distances when moving smaller amounts of equipment, usually spares and replacements to maintain readiness.

River, rail and road.

Austrasia is a highly developed western-european expy country with highly developed infrastructure. Road movement is discouraged in peacetime however to minimize disruption of civilian traffic. Conversely because of the countries exceptionally dense network of navigable waterways, river barges are used whenever possible. Barges are particularly suitable for moving large military equipment that does not conform to standard civilian cargo dimensions.

Speaking of the Challenger...

The Challenger 1 had a extremely well designed turret imo. It is not always apparent, but it is actually a pentagon shape (similar to the new T-90 and Oplot turrets but less extreme), which gave it an exceptionally wide frontal arc and minimized exposure of the softer sides.

Due to the lack of roads in many areas, railways are the main way to transport anything from place to place. This also applies to the military who extensively use the rail system to transport vehicles, equipment and troops. However due to the 'need for speed' at time, aerial transport through heavy aircraft and helicopters is becoming more widespread.

modify the super pershing a bit, and you'd have a superior tank to the T-29. Have a 105mm howitzer variant as well.
