Picture of one of Napyidaws absurdly wide roads.

Most definitely not leveled like an airstrip.

It's quite possible that the tank is not always capable of maneuvering the gun barrel.

In Afghanistan the Canadian Forces regularly used tanks in conditions were it could not traverse the barrel because the roads were too narrow.

If you have to move the gun barrel beyond the front sixty degree arc, or even the 30-45 degree arc in a narrow town street, your infantry support has probably failed and your unit deserves to be killed.
Besides, this is what roof clutter guns are for.

That's supporting fires, not defence of the tank, which I thought we were concerning ourselves with.

All of you should by now be familiar with my Ymir and its top attack guided atomic shaped charges. Well I have an alternate question for you. The thing fires missiles that are several meters long and 22cm in diameter. Assume one of them follows the standard top attack pattern and dives right down onto a tank. Now assume it's a dud. So you have this thing falling at a considerable speed toward the roof of your vehicle. Assume it does hit. How much damage could it do?
Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

RWS MANPAD on tanks? Outside of it taking up a bit of room, I would think having an anti helicopter weapon that can be fired from inside of a tank would be beneficial. Thoughts on this?

How effective is spaced armor against Kinetic energy perpetrators? I know its potent against HEAT ammunition, but I'm unsure of what it would do to KEP ammo

Depends on thickness.

According to MECAR even the SABOT ammo fired from the Cockerill Mk8 can penetrate some typs of multi-spaced armour frontally.

What about old-growth timber or big, dense, bushes restricting traverse in a wooded environment? I know Centurions and T-55s had this problem in Angola. That's why they had difficulty in engaging targets which suddenly appeared at their rear or flank.

They couldn't engage targets in many cases.

Instead they provided cover for the advancing infantry while destroying anything that happened to appear in the limited arc of the main gun.

Probably knock it out. Moot point anyway since the Ymir would have been knocked out beforehand or immediately after by any competent air force or army. A turretless tank with a highly limited supply of ammo with the footprint and practically the weight of a house is not the most sound idea. The only superheavy tank I give a pass to is the LY6A1 (even then it is classified as an assault gun) because it follows my internal progression of tank mass/gun caliber/role.
Medium Tank, 120 mm gun, 60-70 tons
Heavy Tank, 140 mm gun, 75-90 tons
Superheavy Tank, 180 mm gun, 95-120 tons

Not that I would ever use a superheavy tank, but I still have an internal progression of insanity that I prefer to see followed in vehicles I like.

It uses a 220mm cannon to fire a missile.

It's pretty much the most pointless vehicle imaginable.

The MBT of the Kingdom of Lithuania is the M1A2 Abrams, but we are designing an upgunned version armed with a 140mm smooth bore cannon, named the M1A3 Diplomat, how well would that work?

There's no reason it wouldn't work.

You'd have slightly less ammunition space, but it's notable such a thing was in fact in existence in prototype.

I could lengthen the turret to accommodate for that, I'm not going T90 loader style, that isn't very safe
