I just thought I would point it out. Arma 3 vehicles are *technically* Post-Modern. I wonder if he is.

So I can drop the numbers I calculated for my tank as RHAe numbers and should rather use something along "it's immune to 120mm M133 APDS"?

I've been trying to get people to do that here for years.
"Immune from XXXSpecificRound 30 degrees across the frontal arc from 1km" is an applicable, realistic protection value. Provided all other things match, which is why it's good for people to review things like weight, internal layout, etc.

Protection is the hardest part of a tank to come up with realistically for a game like NS, because it is the most complex.

even the best protected tanks aim for protection probabilities of 75% or 90% or something. it's a bit classified

Imho it would be contraproductive, you lose the advantages of the binary system (-> symple steering by the state of the voltage with High/Low) while not really gaining much.

It's certainly lazy, but Arma 3 has the most boring fictional vehicles ever. I don't see how using slightly modified RL stuff is less realistic than the NS original supertankus nearly everybody but you and maybe Anemos churn out.

It's certainly lazy, but Arma 3 has the most boring fictional vehicles ever. I don't see how using slightly modified RL stuff is less realistic than the NS original supertankus nearly everybody but you and maybe Anemos churn out.

It isn't a fail because it's less realistic, but because most of the vehicles are just rebadged IRL ones with dumb names, so why bother using an M4A1 "SLAPPER" when you can just use a Merkava and put your own name to it?

There's nothing wrong with using RL equipment. But is pretty ! to use real equipment which has been renamed by a video game.
