Would it be a good investment to provide a single DMR in every squad, like this one

The G41 is already modern enough. Just give it a RIS system and miscellaneous updates and you should be set, it's a fine rifle.

If your service rifle is a G3 based gun, use the G3 as a DMR like the Germans did in Afghanistan before adopting the G28. The soldiers who shoot good are going to be the ones you're selecting to become designated marksman, so if you give them what's basically the rifle they're already trained on but in a different caliber they'll already know how to use the gun effectively, they just need to get used to the optics and shooting a larger caliber.

My personal problems with the list:

* Lasers are pointless at the ranges a .50BMG is going to be used. They also are anti-material by nature, so adding special anti material rounds (at least currently described) seems pointless.
* Active personal camo (thinking you're talking about Hollywood predator style invisibility) I doubt is going to be a thing by 2020 . Vehicles however, is a completely different story, though not as you probably think.
* Liquid body armor will be a thing. Though you're talking about some kind of hybrid here. I'd do one or the other, not both as the weight would be nutters on you're soldier.
* Medi foam is believable, up until the regeneration part of it. Id drop that and leave the rest.

it'd be cheaper to just issue uniforms in a variety of camouflage patterns. Any kind of adaptive or active camouflage requires computers, cameras, and some form of projection. (reversible uniforms might be okay, but that could be expensive or limit mobility, depending on how it's made.)

Metal color looks good, but you might make the furniture either a shade lighter or a shade darker. For example, my AK-103 clone uses a RUS Milspec. finish, paint-over-parkerization. The paint on the metal is darker than the polymer furniture, albeit not by much. My Romanian-made WASR-10/63 is just parkerized, though, and black furniture on it is darker than the steel.

Also, slight suggestions that mostly have to do with my personal preferences: might want to "curve" the buttplate just a smidge and maybe add a pistol grip reinforcement plate. There are some other small details I plan on mentioning, but I'm just assuming right now you haven't gotten there yet.

Already had the polymer slightly toned down but it was barely noticeable, fixed that now. Curved the buttplate a little bit and added a reinforcement plate. Aside from bolt carrier and safety lever, I still need to add stock rivets or whatever they're called and the little part on the mag release housing that I assume prevents the safety from overrotating.

The reinforcement plate is only half-done (if Russian: looks like the Type-56s were a bit different like yours). Here's a better look at one for you: http://www.michaelzwilliamson.com/image ... dPlate.JPG Note the tiny lip that goes inside the trigger guard.

If you need a rivet pattern, I can search around. I don't have a Chinese sidefolder, but I do know they used an RPK-pattern, so just check out other Type-56 receivers or RPK receivers since you appear to be going with the trunnion bulge.

You're also correct about the little spacer-type thing sandwiched between the mag release housing and receiver. It's just a plate with an upturned lip on the right-hand side to prevent over-rotation of the safety. Two rivets per side, as I'm sure you've noticed.

@Sevv: I wouldn't be surprised if they chopped the bolt and jury-rigged an M16/K2 hybrid operating system.

The Imperial Defense Force, or IDF for short, relies on scavenged Old World weapons, so it's a amalgam of various weapons like the AK-47, M16, and M14 rifles. The IDF's regular soldier uniform is a Old World beanie hat, with a load-bearing vest to protect against enemy fire, with a black shirt and pants underneath. However, as time goes on, technological levels continue to decline thanks to Imperial edicts prohibiting the invention of new technology, so these weapons may not even be usable a few decades from now as the knowledge of even how to maintain the weapons and make the ammo is lost.
