In Brutland and Norden, free-trade agreements are either treaties that have to be approved by Parliament or simple unilateral declarations directing the Minister of Commerce to implement a free-trade regime with a particular country.

As for the visa waiver programme, the citizens of the Dutch Democratic Republic of Knootoss currently enjoy a 28-day visa-free tourist/business stay in the United Kingdom of Brutland and Norden, the most open category available to nations. Should the Dutch Democratic Republic of Knootoss decide to reciprocate and extend such privilege to Nord-Brutlandese citizens (up to 120 days), we will include Knootoss in our Visa Waiver Programme.

We warmly welcome Ambassador-Major Fíodor D.S.F. Vortigen to our shores. We would like to inform you that your embassy application had been approved. However, the City Council of Kingsville did not approve of the sale and the conversion of the restaurant at plot N, and so the Embassy of the Republic of Hippostania will be located at 22nd-23rd floor, Embassy Tower 1A, 506 Viale Tramblo Monda.

We gladly welcome Ambassador David Camden to Brutland and Norden. As a welcome gift, we would like to present the ambassador a book titled Artiodactyls of Brutland and Norden by zoologist Paolo Camporetto, PhD, of the Royal University of Brutland and Norden - Kingsville.

As for the Ambassador's pet hippopotamus, it can be brought to the United Kingdom of Brutland and Norden provided it is cleared first with the Bureau of Animal Quarantine of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources. However, within the Embassy Towers, pets are not allowed, and as such, the offices can be located there. As for the the Ambassador's residence, we suggest purchasing/leasing some land/lot so he can bring his pet. After some research, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs learned of some villas for sale in the village of Covo di Pescotto, a 7-km drive from Sant'Garzana via Union Island Route 7 (the name of L'Abordammino outside Kingsville City Limits). The said villas are located beside a small stream bordered with hilly woodland with a large idle field of grass - ideal for hippopotami.

As a welcome gift, we would like present the Ambassador and his staff an introduction to Nord-Brutlandese cuisine: a delivery of traditional Nord-Brutlandese food from the Kingsville restaurant La Frutu di la Tero ("the Fruits of the Earth"). The restaurant is popular for creating authentic Nord-Brutlandese vegetarian food, fresh from their own organic farm in northern Union Island. Among the dishes the Ambassador and his staff would be treated to are Normarker salad made with brucolas, pasta made from Normark potato flour with brutfruit sauce, and heatplant fries (julienned heatplant rhizomes fried in extra virgin olive oil). We and the chefs hope that you will like it.

The staff at La Frutu di la Tero would also like to share a secret, about where their source their organic vegetables: aside form their farm, they also buy their organic vegetables from the farmer's cooperative in the small town of Pietracarda, just across the mountains to the west of Kingsville.
