Hi, Earth! I'm Rimarua from the Hazameian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I'll be handling this account now for Hazamaeia replacing Vice-Minister Ranuwavimranure so he can focus more on his higher duty in the ministry.

I also play badminton and will represent my nation in the next Olympic. At that time, I'll be most likely replaced by my roommate here, Arina. She works at the grocery store next to our apartment.

Why are you saying bad things about me, Rima? I am an author and I own that grocery store!
Oh look! She won the gold medal. Now I should stand her bragging about it.

This is still my eyes though.

Yes, voluntary prostitution has been legal since 2003, and is regulated in the TBRE. Sex trafficking is still a crime, though thankfully there have only been a small number of regional cases.

It is a unnecessary profession due to the very liberal sexual attitudes of our population and tourists.

In Zybex it is legal, but heavily regulated and often check ups on health of those in the job to prevent STD's, as well make sure for the well being of those who have chosen such a career. Most would be found in brothels or maybe escort services, but street prostitution is illegal.

It varies from planet to planet, but prostitution and other 'licentious activies' are usually legal only in the red-light districts. Outside of these districts, it is almost always illegal.

Of the different venues of prostitution, outright brothels are the most likely to be legal while street prostitution is almost always illegal. Escort services are a grey area, with it being a toss-up whether they are legal on any given planet. Generally though, if street prostitution is legal (very unlikely to happen) then all other forms of prostitution will also be legal.

A few other notes:
  • The sex ratio of prostitutes is moderately slanted towards females, at 65% female and 35% male.
  • Brothels often double as discrete meeting places, being well-equipped for privacy.
  • Prostitutes are often of varying species, though mostly Vrakels (primarily) and Vulfyrs (secondarily)
  • Customers are similar, though swapped. Vulfyrs are first and Vrakels the second most common.
  • Brothels often have gift shops that sell sex toys, pornography and lubricant.

Yes, but the prostitute must register and take free STD prevention courses. Pimping is illegal, as well as trafficking, and both of those have high fines and jail times for the pimps/traffickers.

In Amurya, prostitution is legal but strictly regulated by the government.
The prostitutes and their customers must be over the age of consent.
They must pay about 50% of their net income as tax for the government.

Most prostitutes in Amurya are job-seeker foreigners and low-class nationals.
They come from Japan, Korea, China, Mongolia, Russia, and Southeast Asian nations.
They usually work in five star hotels, high class massages, or across various red light districts.

It is, but the advertising of sexual services or prostitution is prohibited. As a result, you can technically have sex for cash provided you don't advertise it.

Prostitution is legal here, but it is treated as any other business, regardless of if your self-employed or use the services of a procurer to find your clients

The use of Procurers requires an employment contract, and procurers are usually paid on commission (the percentage is determined by the contract, market standard is 10%)

Prostitute unions exist, and sex workers are protected by the same health and safety laws as any employee at any business would be

Most prostitution in Katas is done in brothels, as they provide a safe location for the exchange of services to take place, but a few self-employed workers can be found on the streets, usually the same streets, as they have also banded together for protection, forming their own pseudo-unions

It is highly recommended, but not legally required, for a formal, verifiable contract to be made before services are exchanged, for both the legal protection of the prostitute and the client(s)

Since 1983, prostitution has been legal, but regulated, in our nation.

Under the current laws, the only legal form of prostitution are licensed brothels, which is the only place where sex workers may offer their services. While the age of consent in Gandoor is 15, one must be a legal adult (20) in order to become a sex worker or employ their services. For all sex workers, weekly STD tests are mandatory and there are systems and organizations in place to prevent their abuse.

Per the Royal Charter, victimless crimes including prostitution (and drug possession, gambling, etc) are legal and will cannot be banned except by amending the Charter. However, owning a brothel is illegal (Class D offense, up to 21 days/200 hours community service). In addition, "pimping" is extremely illegal, "pimps" can be charged with human trafficking (Class A offense, 2-15 years) for selling another person's body. Also, any "pimp" that uses intimidation or coersion to keep a prostitute under his/her control is also guilty of another Class A offense (again, 2-15 years). So, as you can see, while prostitution is legal, pimping most definately is not.

Pimping laws aside, prositution is regulated like any other service. There is a "sin tax" added-- there is a 10% sales tax on prostitution, and an additional 2% tax that goes to funding health services for sex workers. Age limits are also in place-- no one under 16 may solicit a prostitute, no one under 18 may be a prostitute. A prostitute who knowingly solicits a client under 16, or a "john" that knowingly patronizes a prostitute under 18, is guilty of a Class C offense (up to 1 year); the key word is "knowingly". If the individual portrays themselves as older than they are, the other individual is not expected to be a mind reader and know they are lying. However, common sense exceptions apply when someone is very obviously underage.

Prostitutes are required to have a license (which is a special pink stamp on his/her government ID). They are required to submit to disease testing monthly (every 3 months if he/she passes a special "risk mitigation" course), and use protection. Prostitutes are encouraged to use birth control pills or devices, and required by law to notify the patron if they are not on birth control.
