What others might call "classic rock". Also popular are "folk rock", "psychedelia", "soft rock", and "southern rock". But we just call them all music.

R&B and Hip-Hop take 99% of the cake. Pop and Rock take 1%.
A Mix of Compton, Chicago, Flint, and Detroit. Take that, and spread it over all of Northern and Western America. You get New Flint.

Classick rock is king, but Country, Folk and Techno have followings, Rap is popular with immigrants and there's a well established metal scene that stays underground cause fuck people. Dramatic classical music (ie movie soundtracks) also are very popular.

Not at all. Many people's nations tend to like things they themselves do not. It's all about who the people of your nation are. They are clearly not all you.

In Nova Anglicana, American and Canadian pop music is widespread, and rap, hip-hop, and R&B are growing in popularity. The French part of the country tends to enjoy Francophone music. Bluegrass and other folk music is popular as well. Electronica, techno, and house music tend to be less popular. Curiously, recorded chants and hymns maintain a constant level of popularity across almost all demographics (low, but consistent).

I also play badminton and will represent my nation in the next Olympic. At that time, I'll be most likely replaced by my roommate here, Arina. She works at the grocery store next to our apartment.

Why are you saying bad things about me, Rima? I am an author and I own that grocery store!
Oh look! She won the gold medal. Now I should stand her bragging about it.

In Walosias case, the subject of popular music is very diverse.
Youth in Walosia tend to like techno, dubstep, rock and heavy metal, but are not uncomfortable listening to more old fashion genres like soul, jazz, country and blues.
The adult generation tend to like rock, pop, heavy metal and country but are not uncomfortable to listen to what the teens find popular, like techno and dubstep.
The older generation tend to like country, blues and jazz. The older generation tend to be a little bit more stubborn when it comes to what they like and what they dont like.

Some albums that have hit high on Walosian times best seller list:

CANON UPDATE (OOC):
I have given this a lot of thought and I have decided to do some major changes to the Walosian History Canon.

The largest change that I will be doing is the removal of the “Walosian-Khelsharian War of 2009” and the following abdication of Empress Liat as well as the removal of the character Liat completely. The reason why is because I have developed my nation into a more realistic fashion during the 2014-2015 era and after reviewing older post I see that the war and abdication of Liat is both unrealistic, doesn’t fit with the overall nation and is simply unprofessional.
