Iberia has always been ruled by monarchs, other then the 2 short lived Republics and 1 fascist dictatorship (1st and 2nd Spanish republics, and Franco's regime).

We've basically always been a constitutional federal monarchy with democratic and meritocratic aspects except prior to independence 7 BC when Parhe was a part of the Jin Empire, an absolute monarchy, and from 1894 to 1910 when it was a corrupt republic.
