Kanzler Helmut von Wolfenstein's Visit to America:

Kanzler Helmut von Wolfenstein returned to The High Tatras today after a trip to the United States of America, arriving at Burg Wolfenstein (his residence, a decrepit old Gothic-styled castle on a mountain outside the capital city of Uhrwerk) in his command zeppelin at 0900 hours.

The Kanzler essentially crossed the nation from west to east via his command zeppelin, beginning in California where he made a speech showing support for Upton Sinclair's candicacy for governor of that state and his "End Poverty In California" (EPIC) plan.

He also criticized President Franklin Delano Roosevelt for "not acting swiftly and severely enough to end the Depression, nor doing anything to promote the worldwide cause of democratic socialism".

Also in California, the Kanzler demanded requested to meet Errol Flynn. Unfortunately, the studio refused to allow him access to the famous swashbuckling film star. He also visited Yosemite, where he caused a panic amongst his security staff and the press by seemingly disappearing into the forests for a consecutive 24 hours (he was eventually found by park rangers near El Capitan).

From there, Kanzler moved eastwards to Arizona where he visited the Grand Canyon. He also visited a nearby Navaho reservation, exchanging diplomatic gifts with the tribal leadership. "I have always wanted to meet real Indians", he told journalists. However, he claimed to be appalled by the "conditions that could only be described as abject poverty" that he witnessed at the reservation.

He then travelled north to Yellowstone, commenting that "this place looks like another planet". He also spoke of a need to "preserve the natural beauty of this wonderful country", adding that "this means a lot more than drawing lines on a map and declaring an area of land protected".

In Chicago, the Kanzler visited the site of the Haymarket Square Massacre to commemorate the martyrs. He also spoke to a delegation of leaders from the Industrial Workers of the World and the Congress of Industrial Organizations.

Finally, in New York City, the Kanzler's command zeppelin docked at the Empire State Building, where he was greeted by Mayor La Guardia. While in New York, the Kanzler toured the Metropolitan Musuem of Art and rode the "Cyclone" and the "Wonder Wheel" at Coney Island.

The leader during the 17th century is Hetman Kazimierz Bogdan Gorski, and the leader during the 20th century is Kanzler Helmut von Wolfenstein.
