In New Lyrane, there are no general speed limits outside of built-up areas. This is because most highways are in such wretched shape, nobody dares drive very fast. Even 40 re/to (about 90 km/h or 55 mph) would be recklessly fast on all but a few of the best roads.
In built-up areas, the general speed limit is 20 re/to (44.6429 km/h or 27.7457 mph). Other limits are posted where applicable. Roadworks usually have a 15 re/to (about 33 km/h or 21 mph) limit.
