The gothic style is a rather common one in Scanderan architecture.

It varies by region - towns in the south are known for their medieval Gothic architecture but the newer colonial towns in the north and centre are different. New Gloucester is a famous neo-Classical city, for example, and Kingford has a lot of ornate nineteenth-century stuff.

Most of our architecture is ecotechnic in nature combining carbon neutrality, with energy plus, and green design. A few examples.

Lots of glass and syncrete, soaring spires and stuff; however, the cities also tend to have enormous hanging gardens and parks on the roof-tops. Most of the larger cities (ie. more than 25 million inhabitants) are relatively recent, designed from the ground up as arcologies in the past five centuries.

Mostly red brick cuboids, often given a smoother look with paint, plaster, and sometimes decorated with wooden beams. Our architecture is generally simple, however the norm here is to decorate buildings with murals which rather liven the place up a bit. Commercial buildings are often decorated with advertisements.
