The 250land Guilder is actually barely used in 250land and Vera with the majority of the population using Lira and NSD. However, it does exist and is backed by fiat issued by the Awesome Committee For Currency Regulation and National Budge

K'dhecian currency is based on a rhodium standard. Unlike elsewhere, gold and silver are relatively worthless in the Empire, being comparable in worth to copper and nickle, respectively.

The Filipino Peso is fiat money and has been since we gained independence in 1901. The reasoning behind it was that it'd be much more stable if it didn't depend on metals.

The Icatus Kodiak is currently Commodity Standard based, with all available commodities being added to the value of the currency, such as deposits, actual materials, and the like.

The Kodiak is also up-kept by a large quantity of military DPRs, since they have such a high value.

Icatus is attempting to move to the Gold and Silver Standard, but that has yet to actually occur, since Icatus has small gold reserves.

Fiat money is also used in the Nation's official crypto-currency -The KodiaCoin-, and is used as a strictly domestic form of currency, a way for people to store their finances, albeit in a volatile market. Think of it pseudo bank-account. A majority of its value is based off it's popular usage in "Field of Steel" -Icatus' first Domestic-made international video game- taking the place of micro-transactions as opposed to actual money, although again only domestically. KodiaCoin is accepted in a few stores, also adding to it's value.

The shilling is a fiat currency. The idea of moving back to a gold or silver standard is considered a joke in the Saint James Islands. Not even a good one at that...
