Tribes of Kothringi, the famous silver-skinned men nearly wiped out during the Knahaten Flu, live as nomadic hunters in the Northern regions.

While not anymore, one of the original tribe the Feileldr was nomadic most of the prehistory. Known as a horse nomadic barbarian tribe of millions strong in the vast steppe plains. Their warriors, recorded as massive 6 foot tall, reddish unkept hair, skin bleached, mounted, clad in tough leather or bronze fearless and known to swarm, surround their enemies. The harsh, cold, dry and windy climate meant moving constantly as planting crops wasn't seen as an option and the horse, their lives and their trump card. When they were made to settle, their natural horsemanship was translated into a very powerful cavalry until motorized vehicles made cavalry units obsolete.

The closest thing to nomads in the Imperium are the Freelancer warbands, who rarely stay in the same spot for long, moving around wherever there's work to be had as privateers or mercenaries. This unusual group of Sidhae lives aboard their starships in warbands ranging from a few dozen to the low thousands in size, much like Gypsies once lived in their caravans of wagons.

Freelancers are Sidhae who refuse to submit to the authoritarian strictures of traditional Sidh lifestyle and consequently find themselves alienated from the rest of society, or simply seek a life of thrill and adventure that traditional lifestyle cannot offer. Although their anti-authoritarian ways and liberal interpretations of Imperial law often bring them in conflict with the Imperial authorities, they are generally tolerated, if barely, for the useful services they provide as mercenaries, privateers and deep-space explorers - one could compare them to the conquistadors of old Terra in this respect.

Most Freelancers cooperate with the authorities on some degree, since starships they use to wander about the galaxy in search of plunder and adventure require regular repair and resupply, no ship being allowed to enter shipyards anywhere in the Imperium without approval of the Imperial Navy. While there exist independent Freelancer colonies with pirate shipyards and it is possible to repair and rearm ships with looted or scavenged parts, most Freelancers rely to some degree on the better-quality supplies and repairs of Imperial Navy shipyards. A Freelancer warband must obtain a Letter of Marque, which grants them access to naval shipyards and supplies in exchange of a share of their loot and the obligation to perform occasional assignments from the government. Most importantly, a Letter of Marque grants the warband immunity from prosecution as pirates, which usually means summary execution. Freelancers holding a Letter of Marque are authorized to raid enemy merchant shipping and colonial settlements, Sidh shipping and colonies obviously being off-limits.

Since the Navy is stretched thin with the constant wars with Imperium's neighbors, it cannot maintain an adequate presence in much of the Frontier region to protect Imperium's many colonies. This means Freelancers are welcome there as hired protection for merchant ships and settlements, keeping at bay pirates and other kinds of unsavoury characters that frequent the region. At times, Freelancers abuse this power by charging their employers exorbitant fees for protection, knowing they have little else to rely on besides them, some unscrupulous groups even resorting to blatant extortion, raiding the ships and settlements of those who refuse to pay. Turf wars between rival Freelancer groups are also not unheard of, only the arrival of a Navy task force being able to reestablish law and order in some systems, which then quickly collapses again once the task force has departed.

Around 1-2% of the total Sidh population are active Freelancers. Many decide to settle down after a few decades of adventuring, but there are always new rebellious and adventurous young Sidhae ready to take their place.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

A fool sees religion as the truth. A smart man sees religion as a lie. A ruler sees religion as a useful tool.

Nomads in Vhzkalium are comparable to passive merchant fleets. They usually ride in old starships, and many times settle on barren worlds to escape Imperial prosecution. Other nomads that are poorer, usually transverse the planet they are on. Not much else to expand on, due to the scarcity of this phenomenon.

The Kintari peoples of the Kintari Desert are nomadic desert dwellers who follow an ancient tribal religion.

The Mountain Soletza people dwell in the mountains of Broike, and tend to interact quite a bit with people of Broikeslam.
This doesn't really represent my views. It's a just-for-fun nation. MT by the way. Population usually hovers 80-84 million.

Absolutely. The Lëdeilem, Cantabrem, Sea Coscivian, Èulugiem, Kholeoëm, Asamem, Ksainohem, Döwadem, and Alavantiem ethnic groups are fully or mostly nomadic, as are large portions of the Geśtlem, Insdem, and Vantüdem. There are several Kiravian Aborginal communities that are at least semi-nomadic, and a number of nomadic tribes can be found in Kiravia's outer colonies, such as the Shakti people in Taigalon and the Aĥtossa in Thonatha.

Yes, they're called Gypsies and nobody trusts them. The goverment gives them hostels with HVAC and plumbing to stay at in every city, if they stay anywhere else, the are sent to jail for trespassing and for squating.

Several villages of some of the native people (whose history wasn't exactly kind to them, as our folk is the dominating one) live in some rural places. Some have native tribes.

The Bedouins of the Negev Desert in southern Israel; while most live a sedentary life, some still live similarly to how their ancestors had lived for centuries in the Arabian deserts.

The closest thing there is in Transoxthraxia to nomadic people would be the Kutrigur and Zyrvanite people in the North Eastern and South Western corners of the nation who still follow the hunter-gatherer style of life. The Kutrigurs were a preexisting people prior to the Transoxthraxian migration into the Iberian peninsula in the late seventh century. They were the descendants of the followers of Dengizich, one of Attila's sons. While most of the Kutrigurs later became the Bulgars, a large portion of them migrated alongside the Transoxthraxians and the Zyrvanites into the Iberian peninsula. Much like the gypsies of the rest of Europe, the Kutrigurs are seen with suspicion by most Transoxthraxians.

The Zyrvanites are a slightly different story. Despite their origins as a Transoxthraxian people, they look totally different. They are a branch of Transoxthraxians known as Eastern Transoxthraxians. While there is no real evidence of when the Zyrvanites and the other East Transoxthraxians broke off from the Western, it is known that they split up before the Transoxthraxian migration, and were subjugated first by Attila, as there are Roman records denoting a strange people, the Syrvanii, fighting alongside the Huns, known for their proficiency for horseback riding. After Attila's death and the split of his realm amongst his sons, the Zyrvanites migrated north once again into the Balts along with the rest of the Transoxthraxians, where together, along with the Kutrigurs, migrated into the Iberian peninsula two centuries after.

However, there are a branch of Transoxthraxians, who live in the Carpathian basin, known as Carpathian Transoxthraxians, who migrated into the nation sometime soon after the Magyars arrived. They speak a dialect of East Transoxthraxian languages, called Carpathian Transoxthraxian. These Transoxthraxians are probably descended from a number of Zyrvanites, or perhaps the lost tribe known as the Xaxonites of legend, that split off from the rest of the Transoxthraxians in early antiquity. Much like the Zyrvanites, these Transoxthraxians took to the steppe where they became proficient horseback riders, albeit small in number. This group of Transoxthraxians seems to not have been under the service of Attila, as there is no historical mention of them, unless they were grouped under the Syrvanii. The earliest mention of them is German and Magyar records and word of mouth from the late ninth century when it seemed that these Transoxthraxians migrated into the northern most parts of the Carpathian basin, where they stayed, first as an independent state, and then later under the service of the Magyars.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

There are no 'nomads' per-say, but there is a considerable number of squatters (about 8,000) roaming the vast, vast central-north of Hyfling. A mostly forested temperate area, the majority of major buildings in this area are abandoned and isolated, after a rural industrialisation scheme intended to bring people to this area failed. The large apartment blocks, factories and power plants are only inhabited by these nomads, whom roam the forest looking for food and shelter in the abandoned complexes. Over 90% of these people are Native Hyflingians.

Buildings like this are a common sight in the Central-North.

For TurtleShroom, that would be the Roma Gypsies, who hail from TurtleShroom's eastern neighbor, Undead Gypsies. Their homeland has a skeletal government that adopted fascism in order to bind the nomadic peoples under one centralized, formal banner. They otherwise serve no purpse. (NS canon classifies this as "Libertarian Police State".)

The Gypsies travel a large circle in the TurtleShroomer deserts, and are escourted through these areas by armed agents and trucks from the Bureau of Nomadic Data, which is a subdivision of the Ministry of Domestic Affairs. It is needless to say that we are allies.
