Generally, from what I understand, no. Rails are bad like that.
But even if the answer was yes, you should always make sure your rifle is sighted properly.

No, you'll have to re-zero the sight.

The fact it is a K2 and not an AR variant is usually what prevents that from happening. Post-ban DR200s can be set up with AR buffer tube adapters, though, like mine is. Quad-rails also exist, but they look a fair bit different than anything you'd see on an AR.

It will stay zeroed because the optic is attached to the upper and the barrel is contained solely within the upper receiver. If you're swapping the optic itself, yes: you'll lose a zero. If you're swapping entire upper receiver assemblies, though, the uppers will maintain their zeros since the optics are not being moved on them. However, just be sure your optic is mounted to the receiver rail itself and not a handguard rail (those can lose zero).

that's what I was going for. I'm thinking of 5.56x45 piston, 5.56x45 M16A4,clone
And .300 blk and yes I am planning on going through the hassle of getting the receiver registered as a "machinegun"

2mm peep sight on a plastic slider. Completely useless but if you paint it black you can call your rifle "tactical".

Not that I want them to get a better rifle, as Napoleon said (I think) never interrupt your enemy while he makes a mistake.

Do yourself a favor go to Gamo's website and get yourself an air rifle its not a firearm but its still appreciable in its capability.
