What does everyone think of my final rifle?
Finished Double Barrel Percussion Rifle

Stat Block
Weight 10-15 pounds
Caliber .54 caliber round shot
Action percussion cap
Rate of fire User-dependent
Effective firing range 400 yards
Feed system Muzzle loaded
Sights Open blade sight

Hey,

Modernized FG42 chambered in 7.92mm Kurz as primary combat rifle from mid 50s to mid 70s, replaced by a further modernized FG42 chambered in 4.92mm Kurz from the mid 70s onward.

Make sure that at least one of those modernizations replaces the double spring system with a single really long spring. IIRC Spree said that it'd end up having the same recoil-reduction effect but if you have one spring, you have less parts which eases disassembly.

Sideloaders sort of fell out of style. It might work for the '50s, but I don't see why you'd want the FG42 is 7.92x33mm when the StG44 was already available.

I am doing this ICly, but switching to 7.62x39mm after 7.92x33mm.

Why? I have no idea other than, "we need guns nao because no AKs."

Not quite. I plan on handwaving it into one of those reversible type deals.

Mostly for hipsterism. Also, because straight line FG42 has less felt recoil, and possibly better ergonomics than the StG44. I'm vaguely entertaining the idea of doing an FG42 alike with StG45 derived internals.

I can't wait for one of them to actually shoot someone. The closest they came was one of their pistols being fired (not by the agent in question) in the TARDIS. As any Dr Who fan will tell you, firing guns in the TARDIS has less than acceptable results.
