Also, I'm surprised none of you brought up that Denmark picked the M60E4 over the HK121 to replace their MG 3s.

What kind of silly person replaces their MG-3s at all, let alone with the M60?

Easier control when firing (550 rpm [M60E4] compared to ~1200 rpm [MG 3]), also easier to conserve ammo and better accuracy.
According to the Danish army website, the M60E4 was more reliable.
Also, the M60E4 is about 3 kg lighter than the MG3.

No, because the possibility of life on mars, unlike modern Cav, has nothing to do with "Infantry" Discussion.

Nice try though.

the Divisões De Cavalaria (Cavalry divisions) are still used in the USBN, though their duty is more patrolling and aiding the police than actual combat. depending on the region, they may use horses or buffalos, the latter being preffered in the amazonic forest and northeastern semi-arid regions.

Would there be a point in having cavalry as border patrol? Horses are better off road than vehicles, and the people would get off the horses to do stuff. Am I on to something here or have loads of people been doing it for ages?

So, expedition Boberg turned out less-than perfect.

The Federal white box range ammo they had was, well , federal white box range ammo. Boberg pulled the case off every second round, got powder everywhere and jammed up.

So the rest of the day was CZ-75s and PPKs

I like to think that Sevvania had cavalry units up into World War II, although I'm not sure to what capacity they would have been used.

Tsavon did, right into the Second World War. However, it was quickly realized that cavalry had little place on the modern battlefield, and most of the former cavalry units were turned into armored or mechanized units.

However, most of the colonies, especially Rhoderberg keep several Light Horse units, for various reasons.
